Has anyone ever felt that the train music from Paper Mario 64 was vaguely inspired by this? I swear they sound so similar.
+Hawelo92 Paper mario was much later in the n64 life spann (the last great game I believe.) This track was pretty iconic from the beginning. So I believe it's on purpose (and I totally hear it too ^_^ )
VGM 1868? Looking (and sounding) like the years of the old west now. Also I just realized after all these years how french like the harmonizing instrument is during the B/Last part.

Late upload! I was at a friend's house tonight and we all ended up taking turns playing multiplayer Mario Kart 64 on the good old N64. Almost 20 years later (wow...), it's still a great time. Of course I played with my racer of choice, Toad. Block Fort is still the best arena in the series.
+SupraDarky I was sure this upload had to do with the recent Virtual Console release of this game on Wii U, didn't expect you to have played it today on an actual N64... Nice ;)
