I bought this tales but the beginning was a little boring for me, I got to the part when you finally are able to get out of the protagonist hometown. Is it gonna get better and more interesting after that?
Actually, I think Zestiria has a share of problems. The story sadly has lots of plot holes. But what makes it better... is playing Berseria! Really! It is the prequel to Zestiria and you are getting soooo much explained in that. So I would rec to play through Zestiria and then get Berseria and play through this. Also, the music in Zestiria is really good.

Yeah apparently Go Shiina loves the violin.
Actually an incredible song. I wasn't gonna buy this but maybe now it's cheaper...

I bought tales of zestria in the steam Christmas sale and was only able to play it for 2 hours maybe and never had time to return to it again but this OST is really making wanna play it now

Any chance you got around to Heroes in the Sky: Trails of Cold Steel? I am loving it so far (30+ hours in with plenty to go), and the OST is a modern, classic JRPG soundtrack if that makes sense.

the contribution of go shiina to this game got me really hooked up when i played and the first of his soundtracks came up it's picking up a pace that's different(faster) from what you hear throughout most parts of the game and thus gives you a feeling of more action going on however i find it sad that many people seem to dislike motoi sakuraba's songs especially with tracks like "The Sparrowfeathers" and all the towns' themes it's the first title of the Tales-Series i played and 60 hours in i don't regret buying it can't wait for my copy of Symphonia when it hits steam
The problem with Go Shiina, imo, is that his music sounds too artificial.
i think this was actually my least favorite of the elemental temples' ost, but it's still fantastic nonetheless

Holidays are over, back to reality! At the same time, with all the family and friends gatherings + the huge amount of ingested food, I don't feel too bad going back to the usual routine. I'm almost done compiling my final Top 10 GOTY 2015 list, but it's especially hard to order my top 4... It should be posted next week. Zestiria is a 2015 game I haven't got the chance/time to play, but having listened to the soundtrack I'm sure glad to see Go Shiina being back to contribute a couple quality tracks like this one (he composed the Tales of Legendia OST).
+SupraDarky While Motoi Sakuraba will always be my favourite because of what he did for Symphonia and Vesperia, Go Shiina's tracks for Zestiria are by far the stars of the soundtrack. Wasn't too bad of a game either, a little lacking compared to previous titles, but nothing wrong with it.
