Next all I need is the solar panel outlet charger I ordered, and I'm set. All I need is some music. As for the Struggle.. don't you feel it? The world is terrifying.

This music is so BEAUTIFUL!!!!! OMFG why is this so unnoticed!! The violin in this track is just plain mesmerizing... I basically jizz in my pants near the end parts.. omg its a spiritual cleansing(not really) but damn i can't stress my point enough o__@
Yes, it's an extremely beautiful melody. I'm really glad that things like this exist.
Love this game, even its faults. I have all the swords with all their moves unlocked, and for anyone who's played the game, they should know that's no small task. I even have a sword with over half the moves in the game auto-blocked along with max stats.

Another prime game from Aquire. It sucks that the games they make are always budgeted and panned by critics when they have a very strong Japanese atmosphere. Be it Tenchu, Shinbido, or Way of the Samurai.

i live in Norway and Have number 1 of this game and its awesome but somehow my save game got deleted i was missing 2 samples of clothing and 2 faces XD but nevermind that...but i have number 2 aswell and heres the stupid part its NTSC! XD and i use the PAL system! XD but i really want WOTS 3!!!! to xbox360!!
I agree, when the age of the sword passed, so to did the age of the samurai. I just beat the game and after seeing the ending (ending 5) my first thought is that it was very tragic, my second was that this truly was a samurai epic, I kinda think a movie should be made, though the effect would diminish, and it might be handed to someone who totally messes it up, but if a movie was made well, then it could be awesome.

I'm getting annoyed by this. First and foremost, Way of the Samurai is a work of FICTION. It's not supposed to be taken seriously. Second, Don took up the sword and enployed more than just skill and technique to his fighting. He fought with passion and cared deeply for Suzu and Kurikichi, the down-trodden and innocent. I think it is because of his passion that he was a true samurai.
Wait!!! In the Meiji period Samurai class was in chaos so near to it's end that anyone also without great ancient family member could say him a "samurai", I'm with you when you say that a black guy couldn't become a samurai, but just because i never heard of black immigration in Japan ^^
I doubt this game is that serious, it's probably not a historical thing. I mean even IF a black guy went to Japan back then, he wouldn't be a samurai, you don't just have a sword and say you're a samurai, it's more complicated than that.

You can feel the undertones of Tenchu just in the music. Aquire has often made clunky, budget-like games that have interesting depth and enjoyment to them. And amazing music, Tenchu: Birth of the Silent Assassins not included due to the severe lack of music in most stages.
Um, he was from Africa. He said that he wasn't from Japan when you meet him, plus it really isn't hard to syncronize fighting styles. With that in mind, let's not argue and just enjoy the music, right?
It's not so much racist as it is tradition for it's time(breakdancing was originally a form of combat and virtually still is[like in Tekken)
People have always immigrated/travled everywhere. Pleanty of african people came to Japan, and I'm sure a fair amount of them learned Bushido. Plus, Don had a sweet-ass fighting style and nice moves.

I felt myself begin to tear up at the Akadama ending. Even more, until I bought it today, I always got the ending where you, Suzu and Kurikichi leave. It felt so terrible when I read her final words 'This would have been the perfect ending if everybody hadn't died.' Only now do I truely realize what she meant. Today, I got the ending where you, Suzu, Kurikichi, Don, Dojima and Tsubohachi leave the pass. It was the best ending I ever saw and felt so happy for them(is this really only a gameLOL).

I remember staying up all night on a school night many years ago to get all five endings!! This game was truly one of the most underrated games of all time, but was defo one of my favourites!

This was a good game. I remember only beating it once. I had teamed up with one of the two factions and had fought back the military. It was epic. God this game was good.

What a great game. It really captures a good feeling when you're watching your ending with this in the backround and at about 1:20 where it finally fades to black with "the end" written across the screen. Truly a masta'piece.
