Memorable yes, but there are others I'd recommend: virtually any of the songs you hear where you're NOT running through it because its a fucking often-tread plains area in between actually relevant areas
The battle system really saved this game, the Item creation was dreadful, and the plot was very unpopular, although i enjoyed it personally.

I liked this game's approach to the space opera setting by focusing on a few detailed planets instead of a bunch of generic planets. I also really liked Peppita, because her ice daggers did ridiculous damage and dancers are cool. But there were a lot of smaller problems that ended up making it feel a bit lackluster to me in the end.
Third best music in the game, behind Rust Color and Chrysanthemum in Winter.
This song seems familiar despite the fact I've never played this game. But then I noticed this game was composed by Motoi Sakuraba who also composed Golden Sun series. This is very similar to Golden Sun world map themes!
the plot twists in this game are massive :o
I always hated the friggin' plot twist in this game. The only time ever I've been mad over a story. But the locations, atmosphere, music and gameplay made me finish the game, all those components are absolutely stellar! All in all, I would say I really like this game. Even though the plot is infuriating...
I'll always remember this game for having a massive trophy/achievement save file on the PS2 memory card.
This game worth playing for someone who loves SO 2? I tried the one that came out for 360 I believe # 4? Didn't like it too much. Great song btw.
+Hogo69 SO3 is my favorite. It doesn't have the same type of atrocious characters from SO4, the gameplay is fun and addicting, the plot is engaging if you are into sci-fi and there is just so much bonus content and challenges in the extended version. The music is also unique and memorable. Most people have only really one complaint about the game which has to do with a huge spoiler but I think it is pretty silly to negate all the positives of the game just because you don't like ONE thing that happens in the story. I actually liked the turn of the events myself.
Are there some star ocean games that I can download so I can play to them on my computer? I have a lot of emulators including GBA, SNES or PS1

+Burkhart von Klitzing Well I download all of them with Romstation and I have an account on it it's like a sort of steam so I think it's legal And it would be hard for me to find some SNES games today in shops Without that I would have never discovered chrono trigger or the fabulous ff6 I love it!

+Shinji Kuritō Sorry to disappoint you but that is NOT legal. IF you own the game and the console then emulating is legal. I do it with some of my ps2 games since ps2 looks like crap on my HDTV..

Motoi Sakuraba always does such epic soundtracks man. I'm a huge fan of his work since the first Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean: The Second Story games.
Though this game felt like a notable step in the wrong direction in almost every respect from SO2, and I still much prefer the latter's soundtrack too, there are definitely some memorable tracks here.

Damn fine choice. This one is a personal favourite from SO3's superb soundtrack.
More than 10 years later, I still associate this upbeat field theme with the hours of grinding I did in this game. The awesome battle system really helped here, I was never really bored even during those times. I'm glad they're making a 5th installment, hopefully it's better received than #4 which I have yet to play.

+SupraDarky Oh man the grinding was real in SO3, Despite having 6 characters at Lvl 255, I still couldn't beat Freya, either. I had forgotten about this field theme. Let's hope SO5 delivers.

+SupraDarky Best: Star Ocean 2. Worst: Star Ocean 4. Of course, worst doesn't mean it's bad, just of the bunch it's the weakest when it comes to story and crafting, however, I did enjoy the fighting system, just not the new features like the dodgestep etc.
+SupraDarky I would maybe give SO4 a try but it is definitely the worst in the series. The characters were atrocious and the plot wasn't nearly as engaging as SO3's but the actual gameplay was still fun.

+Bigrog1988 I honestly found the Story of 4 completely predictable at EVERY turn, esspecially the foreshadowing of a certain antagonist later on. It was so obvious it hurt.
+SupraDarky I liked SO3's story and crafting much much better, but I liked SO4's gameplay better. The combat was much easier and there's sprinting across fields to go faster. And the quiet footsteps. No stomping around on dirt ground.
