This was my first exposure to the N64! I was hanging out at a friend's house in the basement den while the adults chatted upstairs. Someone fired up this game on a then-giant rear projection TV and I didn't pay much attention until this stage popped up and then I was just amazed. Everything felt so huge, wide-open and exciting! I didn't play Mario 64 myself until I was in high school and of course by then it had lost some of its magic. But the memory remains and it's a good reminder that sometimes it's good to drop the adult facade, take in the sights, and just enjoy some adventure! Wah-hoo... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

As a fan of SiIvaGunner, I find more surprise in listening to the actual Slider now. Sometimes nothing is more Grand than the original rip.

Holy crap. Picture what the banjoist's hands would look like if this was played live. Fucking on fire or something.
Thus game is probably the most hard-core example of leitmotiefs in a soundtrack that I have heard. Nearly every major song is a direct remix of Bob omb battlefield of some sort. This might be my favorite one, though.

I made a search on Google today and saw today's birthday logo they have. I noticed the small penguin, which reminded me of the penguins in Super Mario 64, which then reminded me of the slide race against the penguin, which then reminded me of this theme, which then reminded me to add it to this list.
