Grandia III had a weaker story, but the Gameplay was easily the best in the series. Grandia Xtreme definitely hurt the series a lot though.
I wanth Grandia 3 for PC and Grandia Xtreme too <3 ;(

I'm playing Grandia I right now, the only Grandia I've beaten was Grandia 3. After I beaten the first one and Tales of Graces F, I'll play this xD and Xtreme
Just picked this up for 5 bucks the other day. Popped it in and gagged at the graphics, but pressed on. I'm about 4 hours in and I must say, it's been great. In fact, I wanna go play it now!

played the PC version. I pretty much was scared to be under leveled in the game so I kept buffing up 5-7 levels over than what the boss would be, since the game doesn't really scale their levels to the main characters.

@xmash00 yeah you must be right :P I remember trying it on every possible ennemies just for the laught, and yeah the damage is quite nice
@Batchibouzouk huge damage with low cost? and it's funny to see skyie taking some huge enemies (like those huge scorpions in the end) to the air

yowza! this is very catchy music. its just as catchy as ffvi's battle theme with the same adrenaline beat. wish grandia would come back to its original roots and make a solid title. so far grandia two has sold me. the next installments were on the okay part but never sold me because of the character development and storyline....

@floriasn There is a pretty easy trick. Just use the Config exe, press ok then play the game. This should fix the bug. When it doesnt work just press F9 during the Blackscreen, this will skip the Movie and you can watch it later on the CD :D

This game isn't as great as I remembered it to be. One character was always great, though - Millenia. The story wasn't good, voice acting was terrible sometimes, the main character is totally unlikeable and boy did I want miss goody two-shoes to be killed off story-wise. Fun gameplay nonetheless, nice artwork and good music helped to make it an enjoyable game. On that note - nice soundtrack!

Grandi II was (sorry, IS) an awesome game! I really loved playing it through, and everything is just perfect... Or well, Melfice DO look kinda emo, but other than that, Top noche!

I'm a good amount of the way into this game. Having easily played 70 or so RPGs, I really must agree with goodwilltubing and say this to anyone reading this comment: Grandia 2 worth experiencing.
I'm a bit surprised at the lack of the original battle music in your collection... I love the Final/Boss themes, but I thought that the general random battle theme was one of the most kickass battle themes ever.
Look to ebay, it's really worth buying. Although for it's old graphic, it is one of the best RPGs in town! My opinion....

as much as I love this song, it also brings back painful memories of loosing to the two scorpion mini bosses. dunno why, but every time I replay grandia 2, I loose to those two.
I used to look so forward to boss battles just to hear this song lol. Probably my favorite boss them from any RPG except possibly for the one when you fight Sheena in ToS
What a game, again, I always forget how great some games in my collection are, good thing I never sell stuff. It felt kind of like a let down compared to the first one, but the story, the gameplay, maybe not the graphics but everything else, was improved, and I loved it.

..who the fuck had the nerve to give it that? This shit was straight GOAT RPG status to me.
CONTRA: The fights repeat very often, it is only one way through it, the graphic is even old, there are not so much different enemy creatures. PRO: The story is better than in most other RPGs, the fight within from elena with millenia, the tactical gameplay, the cool special attacks, the upgrade ability, and it gets you feel with your characters, think about the lion(whats his name..?) you loose on the moon.....
Best RPG on the Dreamcast. 2nd best RPG on the PS2 as a port.
maybe its the other way around ......i liked it but you sure did alot of nothing in the beginning of the game...so i can understand how it would be hard to get into

Oh god,Grandia 2 is one of my absolute favourite games. Nice to hear some music from this again... This is one of my favourites as well. I love the normal battle theme too.
