Tim Follin wasn't only a genius with chiptunes, I find his work on this game top notch. The fact that a theme like this one wasn't even used shows it. Dolphin's Intrigue is actually my favorite Follin track and one of the VGMs I've listened to the most, especially when I'm surfing the net or working (it has a well earned spot in the Relaxin' playlist).
You sure this was for Ecco? I listened to this on Tim Follin's site years ago and thought it was for an unreleased game project, like his other track "Firearm". Great tune though, and the Ecco soundtrack is amazing too.
