A really REALLY good game! I sometimes look back at it and appreciate how they had the 4 character changeable with different power ups, at a time when games didn't usually do such a change.
I used this song in the credits of a school video project once.

I have no idea what this game is, but judging from screenshots, it looks kinda great. Swanky music, too.
Naoki Kodaka is one of the great, underrated composers of the 8-bit era. His music possesses a level of sophistication and depth that few composers back then could match or even come close to. When you listen to his music in and out of context, it's easy to forget that it's an NES game's soundtrack that you're listening to.
A nice platformer with an interconnected world, Metroid style. Exclusive to Japan and Europe, it was thankfully released in NA in 2010 through the Virtual Console. You know it's a NES Sunsoft game as soon as the first music notes hit. I actually haven't played a NES game in a long while, but listening to music like this makes me want to. It also triggers nostalgia for my early childhood.
