Mario Kart DS. The controls and drifting are top notch. Really fun game on the go. Great character selection. Amazing courses. Favorite character is Bowser, but if Waluigi appears then he is #1. Bowser because he has good stats and Waluigi because he is Waluigi. Favorite course from each game I have played SNES: Rainbow Road. The only memorable track in my opinion, apart from maybe the Mario circuit tracks. Also had great music 64: Choco Mountain. This course was really fun as there was a lot of action and at one point you can fall really behind. GCN: Mushroom City: The ability of multiple paths makes this course unique. There is yoshi valley too, but that course seemed bland, while this course also has cars to deal with. DS. Tie between Tick Tock Clock and Bowser’s castle. Tick Tock Clock has jaunty music, has fun gimmicks, and I like how it is based off of Tick stock Clock from SM64. Bowser’s castle has some cool elements and the best bowser’s castle music. 8: Mario Circuit. Truly the definition of anti-gravity in this game. Kind of odd to see peach’s castle upside down. Out of all the Mario kart peach’s castles, this one is the best. Never Played GBA, Wii, or 7.

1. Mario Kart Wii. As bad as the motion controls are if you use a pro controller instead the game will become so much better. 2. Luigi 3. Sky Garden Mario Kart Super Circuit 4. I have twice and it's a really good time with some buddies.

1: Mario Kart 8! : D The controls really clicked for me in a way that no other MK game had done before. 2: Rosalina, followed by Luigi. Fond memories of the Koopa Troopa/Diddy Kong combo in Double Dash, though. 3: No, I can't choose. D: There are so many cool themes and gimmicks. Mount Wario in 8 has my favourite gimmick, though. : D Winter sports FTW. 4: Nope.

It is astonishing - we share exactly the same thoughts about the series. It goes down to details like favourite drivers in SMK (Koopa) und MK64 (Toad). I also think MKWii was the worst game - it was just constant chaos. The nailed the balance between racing and frantic mayhem in MK64. SMK was all about racing and MKWii was all about explosions ans annoying, overlapping sounds. I also hated how you could not adjust the music volume against the SFX. Double Dash was not as bad, but not great either. With the handheld entires, we have the same opinion too. Super Circuit lacked the multiplayer aspect. MK7 ist totally forgettable imo, but MKDS is one of the best games in the series. I spent many hours in LAN-mode, wich basically is couch acion, but with even more people (up to 8, I think). And then it had the incredible challenge-mode which was highly addictive. I can not understand why this mode has not returned since. MK8 is indeed an incredible package and I espacially like the way they treat DLC (as you so well put it: "DLC done right!" The one thing I do not like is the balancing. When you are in first place, there is not much that can harm you. But the did so much right, also regarding the items. The tracks are among the best of the series and the soundtrack is superb. I think I would rank the games like this: MKDS > MK8 > MK64> SMK > MKDD > MK7 > MKSC > MKWii

Hey SD, have you ever played the Sonic and All Stars Racing games? I used to be a Mario Kart devotee, but since I played Transformed, I've got a new kart racer love. MK DS is my favorite MK game, and easily Peach. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite track though. And no, sadly not!

Yeaaaaah!!! Koopa Troopa is the king!! Mario Kart Wii is my favorite but I am excited to play 8. 64 was great but heavily overshadowed by Diddy Kong Racing game mechanics. I never owned a Gamecube but I never had much fun with Double Dash. But I have Wii and I conquered it! A lot of fun. I don't know about tracks lol. I loved the remake of the SNES Raceway in Wii. I like classic kart tracks. I haven't kart raced enough! It's a ton of fun but I've only done it a couple times in my life. A new track actually opened near where I live! I wanna do it but its expensive lol

1) Mario Kart 64 2) Wario 3) Probably Koopa Troopa beach in 64. That shortcut was so cool to get! Even with a shroom you had to be careful to align yourself. It was so satisfying to get. 4) I did some real-life karting about 4 times in my life, and it was awesome each time! It's costly, but it's a really great experience, especially with a big group of friends (from work). Bonus fun on a rainy day, you can *actually* slide like in Mario Kart!

My fav Mario Kart is probably double dash or the one on GBA. Played the heck out of those when I was younger. I enjoy 8 but miss the customization from Double Dash. My favorite character has always been Toad and my fav track is the rainbow road in Double Dash. Personally I enjoy Smash more with friends than I do Mario Kart but probably cause I'm much better at it than Mario Kart. I used to do cart racing at amusement parks as a kid but obviously those aren't as fun as Mario kart.

Undoubtedly the return of Block Fort is what sold you on MKDS, huh? And now: Questionnaire 1) I never played Wii or 8(if only for lack of the appropriate systems) I probably spent the most time with DS, smacking around those CPUs in battle mode and marathoning all the tracks in vs. races. Plus, Mission Mode was fun. I wish they brought that (and an elimination mode option for Battle Mode) back for 7 2) HI, I'M DAISY! It helps she's my favorite Mario Character. 3) I always owned everyone in Tick Tock Clock on DS, but I do like Airship Fortress, too. Other than that, I don't have time to run through every track for every game picking favorites. 4) No.

Favorite Game? Mario Kart 64. Favorite Racer? Koopa Troopa Pre Mario Kart Wii. Post Mario Kart Wii: Rosalina. Favorite Track? Baby Park [Mario Kart Double Dash Version] Why? It's chaotic! Tried Kart Racing? Yes and no... somewhat intrigued by it. Closest I've gotten was few laps around some theme park on an actual kart. Fun indeed :-D

1. Mario Kart DS. i played it so much online when it came out and racked up over 1000 wins. but if friends are over, MK8 for racing and MKDD for battles. 2. Toad, Toadette, Shy Guy 3. Wario Colosseum, easily! it's the most curvy and erratic racetrack in the series, so it never gets boring. If the next F-Zero gets another mario kart cameo track, it should be this one. 4. Yes, at Incredible Pizza.

1. I never was big on racing games, though I loved Mario Kart when I was younger. I'd say my favorite was Double Dash. Definitely the game I spent the most time on, and you could play as Petey Pirahna 2. Petey Piranha. Toad is a very close second. 3. I can't say I love Mario Kart 8 because it removed my two main characters, Dry Bones and Funky Kong, just to add new babies and the unnecessary Pink Gold Peach.

1. My favorite Mario Kart is also the latest 8 and second place goes to the original. 2. Larry (MK8) followed by The (Koopa) Trooper (SNES). I wonder what does KT think of all those his friends' shells tossed around all the time? From girl drivers I choose Rosalina and Toadette. There's Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach, should there also be room for Iron Maiden? Just needed to put random reference right there :D. Btw did you know that Toad is Shigeru Miyamoto's favorite in MK8? 3. Diffcult to name one, there's so many. Maybe Sunshine Airport. 4. Couple of times.

It's good to have you back Supra! Great franchise for a x00 entry. Now the answers: 1) I was a great fan of MKDS because it was the last one to really feel like a step forward for the franchise by introducing a lot of new features to the table (online multiplayer, the missions...). Now I'm torn between that one and MK8, since this one feels like the crowning of all previous entries. The best graphics, the best online, the best music, the best gameplay, bringing new Nintendo franchises with DLC, it's all perfect save for the lack of battle arenas. 2) Back in the day I was a DK/Wario guy, but in the latest entries I've been using Metal Mario the most. 3) I would say Rainbow Road 64 brings some of the best memories for me, and its remake for MK8 although shorter is awesome as well. 4) Yes, but when I found out there was no drifting or items I jumped right back to good ol' videogames!

My favourite game in the series is 8, it gets almost everything right. DS and Double Dash!! are tied for a close second spot. My favourite racer is Waluigi! Favourite track? Hmm, MK8 has incredible tracks, and the recently-released Zelda and F-Zero tracks are a lot of fun, but my faves of all time are the GBA Bowser's Castle tracks. Kart racing is indecently fun! You should give it a spin.

1. Mario Kart 8 is definitely up there, but I have some fond memories of Mario Kart 64 as well as it was a game I grew up with. It's a tough choice, but I think I will go with Mario Kart 8 2. Any middleweight racers, but I have lately mostly used Luigi, Iggy, Yoshi or Ludwig, so either one of them, hah 3. If it was about every Mario Kart games that has been made I would surely pick one from all of them, but of all time..I think it's a tie between Yoshi Valley or DK Mountain 4. I actually did this past autumn, I was with a couple of people I know and it was a lot of fun!

1) My favorite has to be Mario Kart DS. While I played quite a lot with other versions, with this one I had more multiplayer games with people at work. We used a round table to gather and have a solid hour of nonstop racing. 2) I try to pick Wario or Waluigi if they're available, although I always get Toad when getting a feel for the circuits and handling of a new game. 3) I have a soft spot for the circuits and music of Bowser's Castle in almost all versions, but yeah, all tracks are good and it's hard to pick. 4) Tried once, didn't like it. I don't like driving or "going fast" in real life, specially if I'm driving. Bonus 5) Favorite anecdote related to Mario Kart? One of my ex-coworkers started bragging about how good at Mario Kart he was and how hard he was to beat. Another one replied that he wasn't bad himself so they decided to have a friendly competition and I tagged along. Game of choice was Double Dash. At the start of the first race, the "not so bad myself" guy wooshed into the horizon leaving the bragging guy behind. He naver caught up.

1) Mario Kart 8. SOOO GOOD! Second one is Mario Kart 64. And i always get hate for this opinion, but my least favorite was Mario Kart Double Dash. Dunno, but i didn't found it as good as the n64. 2) 64: Donkey Kong, MK8: Metal Mario. 3) N64 Rainbow Road. 4) Yes, once and it was SOO COOL!.

Oh man, Toad's Turnpike is phenomenal. Toad is my favorite character in the series, so it's kind of a double bonus for me.

1. My all time favorite is definitely Mario Kart Wii- I've played that game so much more than any of the others and really enjoyed racing online against other players, since I don't get to play with anyone offline. If I did have people to play with offline, Double Dash would be my all time choice, just because it was the first one I played, and featured some cool things that weren't featured in any of the other games. The only thing that it needed to overtake MKWii is the online playability, which wasn't available on the GameCube. I love playing Mario Kart 8 now that Wi-Fi is down, though the game stresses me out far more than the previous games did. As long as that remains an issue, I'll keep my top at MKWii. 2. Yoshi all the time! Back in Double Dash I mained as Red Paratroopa and Toad because I really enjoyed their specials, but otherwise in every other game I always choose Yoshi. 3. My favorite tracks tend to be Rainbow Road levels, Snowy/ice levels (MOUNT WARIO IS BEAST), and levels relating to Yoshi. Even though you didn't ask, some of the courses I dislike have "circuit" in the name. I'm not sure why I don't like them, but I don't tend to choose them over other courses. (Yeah, this includes GCN Yoshi Circuit as well, despite it being a Yoshi themed stage) Although I'm really happy they brought back that level as a DLC! Who would've thought that dlc would be so interesting with Mario Kart? 4. I think I've gone outdoor karting before. There's this Family Fun Center near my house that has a track with some karts, though I'm not sure if it was actually go-karting or if it was something lesser. I never really checked before.

1. My favorite is Double Dash by far, I love the courses, the music, the double racer gimmick, the Bob-omb battle mode. No other Mario Kart has given me as much fun as Double Dash, though I loved Mario Kart Wii. 2. I don't have a favorite racer, I choose a different one depending on the game. 3. My favorite track is probably Rainbow Road from Double Dash. 4. Yes, I've gone go-karting once and it seriously is ridiculously fun (not as fun as Mario Kart though)

1. Tie between MKWii and Double Dash. I played those both a huge amount as a kid, both in local with friends and then tons of online with MKWii, so it's more nostalgia than anything but whatever. If I had to pick the most mechanically solid it'd be MK7 probably. 2. Rosalina, seeing her in MKWii after I loved her in Galaxy was surprising and really cool. 3. Maple Treeway. I'm a sucker for anything autumn and it has basically everything I look for in a track, namely amazing visuals and music, one of my favorite music tracks in Mario Kart. 4. Just once with go-karts. It's pretty fun.

I'm sorry, but Maple Treeway was one of my least favorite tracks in MKWii. The music was pretty good, but I just never really saw why it was such a great track. Whenever I went to play with other people online, I would always hope that I wouldn't get 1 of 2 tracks: Maple Treeway and Rainbow Road. Then again, I usually raced with smaller characters like Toadette.

Mario Kart 7 is amazing, love the portability as I play it nearly every lunch time with my friends in school along with Smash. Shy Guy mainly but the fact that Dry Bones had a friggin' tank in DS, I had to pick him. Waluigi Pinball and Maple Treeway. The music in both stages are amazing and I think they're really fun, frantic tracks. I have actually! Did it a few years back with my uncle and cousins. Was nervous at first but once you do your first lap it becomes a lot of fun, even without a supply of bananas and shells.

My favorite in the series is Mario Kart DS actually. Couch multiplayer is always fun, but there was something about portable, go-anywhere online Mario Kart that took me in for a good two years. Plus it had a ton of features and unlockables which was new to the series at the time (also loved the "event matches"). I always use Mario, cause he's balanced very well. But my favorite "character" in the games is probably Shy Guy, relatively new to the series. Favorite track without hesitation is Waluigi Pinball. Kart Racing venues are pretty common in South New Jersey actually haha. Yeah, I've been in plenty of kart racing. Great pick, Supra. Good memories shared.

1) DOuble Dash is my favorite. Tag team mechanic was genius IMO, great tracks, great multiplayer, Coop was so much fun too. Also Best Rainbow Road by far! 2) My man Yoshi, but I also love Dry Bones, Koopa, Shy GUy, Daisy, Peach...GAH TOO MANY CHARACTERS I LOVE 3) Piranha Plant Slide :D 4) Yep! 1) For having fun: Mario Kart Wii For being competitive: Mario Kart 7 Mario Kart 8 lacked the randomness and being in the first-place wasn't nearly as punishing (which is a shame). 2) Toad, then Koopa Troopa. 3) Hard to say, Daisy's Cruiser is probably the one I've tried the hardest on, but the craziness on Luigi's Raceway on the Wii was great. Block Fort prob when it comes to those. 4) Once, but I gotta say that I prefer MK :P For another 1700!

My favorite in the series has to be Mario kart wii honestly... I know it's not the best but the one turning point for me was online play... Compared to other games that supported online, MK Wii ran flawlessly... Yea it had hackers every now and then but that didn't stop me from getting 1st place...

Ok, i'll answer those questions. So here we go: 1. Mine is mario kart 64. Just because out of nostalgia. I played this version a lot as a kid and i have so many great memories with it. 2. Luigi. I just like him a lot. I guess i just feel bad for the guy, i always want to make him win! 3. Original rainbow road. I just think it has some kind of charm. And i didn't mind it was remade for the DLC in mk8. 4. I haven't done it either, but i would!

1) My favorite game? Oh...that's tough. Mario Kart DS was my first, and holds a special place in my heart, but Double Dash and MK7 are both solid contenders. MK64 is also a viable choice. 2) My favorite racer changes with every game. MK64 was Yoshi. Double Dash was Toadette/Baby Mario combo. DS was definitely R.O.B. Mii was my favorite on Wii, and Lakitu wins for MK7. 3) My favorite track by far is Waluigi Pinball. Although, the Rainbow Roads as a whole are all pretty great. 4) If we count Go-Kart racing, than yeah, I've tried kart racing. It's pretty fun, I'll have to say. Nothing quite like flooring it and skidding around countless hairpin turns.

Favorite in the series: MK 64, it was my introduction to the franchise and I have so many fond childhood memories of it that it has left a lasting impact on me as a gamer. Favorite Racer: depends on the game but I'd say Toadette especially in MKWII. Favorite Track: Rainbow Road (MK64) I have tried kart racing but it was so long ago that I could probably try to do it again sometime in the future. I absolutely love this franchise and I think I will absolutely love MK8 when I eventually get a Wii U.

I really don't get the hate for Mario Kart Wii. I thought the motion controls worked perfectly fine.

For 'couch multiplayer' I'd say Double Dash wins. As a tradition, I still play it every time my friend (who now lives abroad) comes back to visit, so it holds a special significance. However, MK7 is the best game in the series by some distance, in my opinion. It was already impressive that MKDS handled effortlessly with just a D-pad, but now, with the circle pad for MK7, the control is so unbelievably perfect. I actually prefer it to a control stick, for MK at least, because the range of motion is smaller and more comfortable. The only downside is a fairly disappointing roster of characters; for example, they didn't use Waluigi or Birdo, but kept Daisy. Who cares about Daisy? WHO CARES? Nonetheless, you're missing out by not trying it. If you like 8, you might like 7 just as much, if not even more. The handling in 8 feels a little stiffer, in my opinion, and the tracks are so overloaded with detail that it makes my eyes want to fall out.

My favorite game in the series is a tie between MK 64 and MK 8. Favorite character is Wario. Favorite track: Bowser Castle(N64) Sadly, I've never gone kart racing, but I would want to someday.

mario kart 8 is my new favorite, after that it probably was ds, and my favorite racer has got to be yoshi!! dont really have a favorite course.

Took a good break from YouTube during the holidays, now the list is back! I hope you all had a great time with friends & family during the past weeks or at least took the opportunity to relax and play video games in the comfort of your home. I used this break to play quite a lot of games myself, but I was very busy (in a good way) with all the parties and gatherings. Mario Kart is the latest series to get a x00 entry! I love this franchise.

My sister isn't really a gamer but if you have mario cart she will play the hell out of it. mario cart and smash bros are the game the make me want to get a wii. same goes with halo on xbox. I feel that their are games that they are simply so great that anyone can get into them. my mom only likes pacman and bejeweled. easy to understand and enjoy.

@SupraDarky Answers to your questions: 1. Mine is Mario Kart 8 & 64 2. My homeboy, Bowser 3. DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!!!!!! 4. I have done kart racing. I went to K1 Speed and told the manager of the place to play "Toad's Turnpike" because of Mario Kart. Because the manager played Super Mario Kart when he was younger, he put my iPod on and started playing it through the intercom. Best experience ever!!!
