Worse performance (mega slowdown compared to first game, especially after being promised the exact opposite, and it's NOT because of my GTX 770 OC gpu despite what the new devs say,) and worse soundtrack (especially lacking Danny B.) Actually kinda regret buying this one.
This reminds me a little of Sonic Mayhem's Quake 2 soundtrack. Come to think of it, you should post at least one more of theirs – that was a pretty cool soundtrack.

I've been playing this game a lot. I really do love it, even if the soundtrack isn't as good as the original. I do like Hericide, Sketches of Pain, and The Fallen Angel a lot at least, as well as this theme. Sketches of Pain (The Chest Theme) is definitely my favorite track in the game.

Definetly the best one out of the new soundtrack ... ... and the only one that I would consider to be better than some out of the original :| I also think it's the least atmospheric. Maybe the 'arcady' type of music just fits better with Isaac, especially with it being a Roguelite.
Yeah, I think the decision to go with ambient music as opposed to memorable, interesting melody-focused songs like the music in the original soundtrack was a huge mistake. Sure, creepy noises suit the game the first time, but after your 10th time through? I had the game muted 2 weeks after I bought it, which is a complete shame. This track is still incredible, though.
I now played it for about 100~110 hours, but only heard about 5~10 hours worth of its OST. (There are other circumstances that led to this, but the new soundtrack doesn't help much.)
Been playing this mostly everyday since its release. It's the perfect game for quick gaming sessions (and if they're taking longer than expected, the saving system comes in handy). Isaac was already my favorite roguelite, a genre I'm not the biggest fan of, and Rebirth is even better. The soundtrack is the only thing I prefer from the original game, though it's still very solid with tracks like this one that immediately stood out.
Hey, have you heard of a game called Terra Battle? It's only playable on a mobile device, but as soon as you listen to the soundtrack, you'll be convinced to add at least one song to your channel.
Yeah, I prefer original soundtrack more but it may be that we just got used to it so much, it scraped itself in our brains. New soundtrack is not on the same level of the original but it certainly builds upon it and has some memorable ones too.
I'm not sure if you feel the need to go this far, but there are mods to replace the soundtrack with the old version
@voltcatfish I think one should stay away from any kind of mods until Platinum God. Even if it's just a soundtrack mod. Then you can go crazy, hell, some SpiderMod equivalent would be out by then.
Judging by your Steam account I guess we can expect some Grimrock II track soon, then, can't we? :D
