This game damn hard as a kid
Oh gosh, this game took me sooooo long to beat the first time. Always got stuck in dead end levels at the end. Only when I came back to this game years later that I finally found level 99. And then after a few more stumbles, finally getting to the end. Felt so satisfying on that first time victory, even though the actual ending was rather bland, lol

Have they ever remade this song in future titles of Gauntlet? I do like this song and was wondering if there were any other renditions of it.
I believe this is played (in an awesome Heavy Metal version no less) in the final battle against Skorn in Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.
I personally think the song "Sortie" from Gauntlet 4 on the Genesis is the best Gauntlet series song. This one's a great classic though. Aged really nicely.

@Dessa i don't think it's a bach song, it just takes inspiration from bach; there's a lot of his style in it, a lot of counterpoint, etc.
Classic Gauntlet. I never did get to play the originals from so long ago, but I did play Dark Legacy for ps2 and my god, did I ever enjoy the hell out of it.

A 1987 NES classic. I don't know if this dungeon crawler aged well, but this theme certainly did with its surprising build-up. I remember spending a lot of time (and money) with friends on Gauntlet Legends' Arcade version during lunch break back in the late 90s. Good times!
