I just recently replayed this on the wii u virtual console and fell in love with it all over again. I have terrible trouble getting into JRPGs, but this was way too easy to slip into.
God does this theme take me back. I played this game not knowing anything at all, and I got up to this part, and the music didint want me to go anywhere, I got the game on the Eshop and the music is still good.

My favourite Mario & Luigi game. I know Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team are superior in lots of aspects, but this one still holds a special place in my heart.

You should really play them in order. The plots barely intertwine, but the series does progressively develop in a way that might leave you disappointed with previous games. For example, Dream Team has way more equipable items and even has perks, while Superstar Saga has only three equip slots. The games also make subtle references to each other that might be lost if you played them out of order. Sorry for the long comment, but this is my favorite quadruplet of games and I want newcomers to experience them the way that I did.
Fucking amazing game
Instant nostalgia with this theme, perfectly relaxing for the first town at the start of an exciting adventure. I was extremely excited for this game as I thought it'd remind me of Super Mario RPG, one of my favorite games of all time, and eventhough it ended up being very different (and the start of a new subseries), I had an awesome time with it. It's still easily my favorite M&L game.
@***** Have you _heard_ the game? **Comedic Snort** But anyway, while many people say that the series went down in quality - and I said in a past video that SS was the best M&L game - after replaying the games (except DT, since I don't have it), I've formed the opposite opinion: the series went up in quality gameplay wise, and BiS is my most favourite of the series. Not story and visuals wise, though - graphically, SS is my most favourite with crisp graphics and quick actions, and narratively, PiT was shockingly dark, subtly hinting that you had to kill an entire sentient race before they'd kill you. They're probably the most nostalgic games I have.
