Wow, some of those synths take me right back to the menu theme of the original Command & Conquer.

Oh I though I was going to hear Doom 3's main theme. But I got to say that I'm in rock music :)
Its hard to picture this somewhat peaceful music coming from THIS game. lol
Probably the first game I bought a new computer for just to play. It most definitely was worth it. As an immense fan of the original DOOM games, I found this game to be absolutely delightful and remind me of times when games, for me, could live up to the hype I gave them.
Doom 3's a pretty solid game on it's own, but it doesn't hold a candle to Doom 1, 2 or 64.
I agree with you Supra. The game did stray quite a ways away from its predecessors however it was still a very fun game with some great music and graphics.
I recommend everyone to play any of the Doom games.

Finding good and memorable music for some of these horror games is proving difficult. Doom 3 was and remains a divisive game. While some people hated it and thought it completely strayed away from the prequels (and I can't disagree), I simply enjoyed my time with this game back when it came out. Lights turned off and headphones plugged in, I was in for some very intense and scary moments inside the Mars labs. I couldn't believe how great the graphics were and it definitely reinforced the game's horror aspect. I generally couldn't play through more than 2 levels at a time before I felt like I had to take a break. The gameplay was plain fun and I loved a mechanic that a lot of people hated : not being able to pull out your guns at the same time as the flashlight. I thought it added a very interesting layer to the exploration, never making you feel completely safe. As for the other games in this series, I'd probably put Doom 64 in my Top 15.
So with this in mind, would you want a Doom sequel that is designed in the same style as this game?

@Medal Melodies No, I'd prefer something completely different than another horror game taking place in space labs. We've now gotten enough of those.

I will always say that a great idea for a horror game would be where you play as a bigger monster hunting other monsters. I will stick to my guns on that, someone make that game.
they advertised that feature with the lfashlight alot back when it came out and when they remastered it... they took it away.... such a dumb descision
