ive played "alot" of scary games back in the day from Clock Tower to Resident Evil on the PS1 to The Suffering on the Xbox. but no game has ever maneged to get me to put down the controler and go take a break like Fatal Frame did. I can clearly say that Fatal Frame by far one the most scariest games Ive ever played. I can deal with zombies, werewolves or crazie looking abominations but when you throw ghost into the game am officialy on the edge of my seat with paranoia now.
I remember playing FF for the first time, with a bunch of friends. One of them was desperately trying to avoid looking at the screen, and failing miserably. Good times!
Yes! One of my favorite survival horror series! These games had an apartment full of teenagers huddled next to one another in pure fear. Some of my favorite memories of my friends.
Wow, I actually just finished this game today! I'm glad to see it on here, because I really enjoyed it. I bought the second and third games and I'm really looking forward to getting into them, too.

@TheUnBeheadedSlayer Actually, they announced in a recent Nintendo Direct that FFV was getting a Western release due to fan demand.

If it wasn't for this litttle ending theme, I don't know what I would have uploaded. The whole soundtrack is made up of completely ambient themes, very scary ones. They help make this game and its different ghost encounters extremely unsettling. Until I played this in 2002, I hadn't been this scared playing a video game. I guess I find creepy ghosts that can go through walls and floors much more efficient in the horror department (or japanese horror in general). It doesn't help that you control a helpless character only equipped with a first person camera. The "battle" mechanic is actually very fun and part of why I find this series stands out from the rest. Oh, and I always found the NA boxart terrible!
