Ironically, while King Knight is one of the weakest bosses in the game both his domain and its theme are among the best this game has to offer. INCREDIBLY GOOD music overall, but this theme does shine ahead of almost all others in the OST.

I hope Shovel Knight makes the next Smash Bros. even though its unlikely. His game is definitely one of the best if not THE best eShop indie game. I don't know I just really feel like he'd fit right in with the rest of the characters if they gave him a unique moveset.

What you and multiple other people have said gives me a great idea. I thought (if I had any programming skills, which I don't) I could make a hack of smash bros but fill it with characters from indie games like Shovel Knight, Shantae, beck from Mighty no. 9, etc.

most people have pc's and it's on steam I believe but I agree it's so stupid that it's not released in EU for the Wii U

This game is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't find anything that I didn't like about it. It's probably my favorite game of the year so far.

It's rare that i love a WHOLE video game album. But i loved just about every song in this game. This is also still my favorite game of the year so far(beating mario kart 8 and smash 3ds)

Funny thing is, I feel like the first half of the game has a much more memorable soundtrack than the second half. This, plains of passage, lich yard, and the black knight are by far the best tracks in the ost until the last black knight and enchantress boss themes imo.

@eraseragenda Oh yeah the credits theme is great. I also do like Tinker Knight and Lost City a lot. The whole soundtrack is really good. My point in the OP is that the first 3-4 tracks that the game opens with are the ones that I immediately had to go and put on repeat on Youtube for the rest of the day when I finished playing lol. The rest is great but these are just brilliant.

+Michael Kemel I thought the Explodatorium theme was alright, nothing too insane, but the remix of it in the Shovel Knight Arranged album is AMAZING, if you ask me.

This song is absolutely fantastic. I love the whole soundtrack for Shovel Knight, but King Knight's level just had this wonderfully fitting sense of regality, nobility, and chivalry.

I'm pretty sure this will end up being in my Top 3 soundtracks of the year. I can't remember the last time a video game theme got stuck in my head as much as this one, for some reason I kept humming it for weeks after I finished this game. Buying the album was a given. Now I'm patiently waiting for the Kickstarter stretch goal updates.

I just bought this game on Sunday and I am absolutely loving it so far. It has the perfect balance of challenge and great level design. Plus, the music is absolutely incredible done by the legendary Virt with some tracks from Manami Matsumae. It is easily one of my favorite soundtracks of all time and to think this is a 8-bit soundtrack in 2014!
