This game was good, but it would've been a lot better had it not been for some crappy camera angles at times, and high difficulty. It just seems kinda out of place to have a non-NES Mario game be tough. That said, I haven't played it in years, and I have a higher tolerance for difficulty now than I did when I was younger. I've been meaning to play it again for a while now, I should get to that.

Sunshine has some major flaws, but I still think it's a great game. My favorite song in it is Ricco Harbor.
I loved this game so much! I played it all summer long (during a heatwave that lasted six weeks!)
I loved the setting and the idea of having all the areas in the game be connected, where you could look into the distance and see other parts of the game's world. But the game itself was punishingly difficult and very flawed. Not one of my favorite 3D Marios, to be honest.
I loved that you could see all the areas in the distance.. but I hated that we couldn't actually go there without a warp.. Had loved it to be a fully open world..

It almost sounds wrong without the really loud constant sound of spraying water.
I miss this game alot i had alot of fun.
Playing this game in the winter is the best! makes you forget about the cold and puts you in a summery vibe!

I love this song so much! This is probably my favorite Mario game of all time too. It's one of the games that got me into gaming in the first place.

I feel like I appreciate this game more as the years go by, but that might simply be the effect of growing nostalgia. The setting will always be my favorite part of this game. I'd love to get a 3DS version and be able to play outside during hot summer days to go with the game's setting.

I feel like this game was super Mario 64 version 2.95. Almost felt like a continuation
The game was beautiful (and still remains so, I'll give you that) but I actually went back to it last month while housesitting and... for a Mario game, it handles really, really badly. Probably to compensate for FLUDD. It was really difficult to do after the Galaxy games.
@Honatuto On the contrary it is the best controlling mario game to date...if you die it is your fault...the only thing wrong was the camera angles...
@Tcg Patrick Well, I respectfully disagree. I thought the "secret zones" where FLUDD gets taken away would be easier since I was freshly off of a "no spin attack" run of Galaxy and it felt incredibly clunky to me. To say nothing of Pianta Village's Shines. Whoof.
@Honatuto Eh, I understand what you mean, you cant play a later game in the series and return to an earlier installment and expect it to be as good as the newer one...physics in all the mario games are almost always different. Play them in order to maximize effectiveness.
Currently replaying it, just 9 shines left and 86 blue coins left, honestly think it's just as good as any other Mario game. On the other hand, my controllers refuse to cooperate. Somehow all four of them are pressing Z, L, and X at random times, even including the two new ones I bought recently. Any help here?
