Should have downloaded this when it was free on the store, I hear it's a very good game.
This reminds me of a combination of the Bioshock and Inception soundtracks with just a sprinkle of Danny Elfman thrown in.

I'm hearing a little Paul Romero & Rob King (Heroes of Might and Magic) as well.
A fairly good looking Action RPG for the Vita by designer Keiji Inafune (Mega Man).The combat system looks quite fun, with the hero having to sacrifice parts of his body to do special attacks. I've heard the level design is average though. The soundtrack by Hokoyama and Mitsuda is very solid, but most of the tracks are unusually short.
Yeah, great game. But from what I remember, it's actually not an RPG. But then again, my memory isn't the best
The game's 'level designs' are just the arenas you essentially fight bosses in, there's no interconnecting areas or any sort of navigation.
@***** It's only Monster Hunter-esque in the sense that it's a boss hunting game. There's no resource collection, the boss doesn't change area (because they can't) and there's no weapon 'classes'. You get to equip 6 spells from a pretty huge collection (ranging from melee weapons, explosives, evasion modifiers, recovery and much more) and you fight the monster in what is basically a spruced-up arena. Completing the quests nets you more spells and monster essences that are used to unlock permanent and temporary buffs. What it really has going for it is that its got stacks of content, a great variety of really inspired monsters, a surprisingly engaging story that's presented really well and the lore is genuinely interesting; every monster and locale has a short story about them. They've also been supplementing the game with free updates since it was released. Since Delta's release they've added 6 monsters, a load of aesthetic options and balance changes.
