holy fuck i couldn't remember the name of this game or the battle theme and it was driving me crazy. luckily i liked this video when i first heard it.
I'm a little surprised you chose this song over some of the others on the soundtrack. Just basing this on your previous tastes. I really liked some of the "ambient horror" themes in this game. I do agree with your assessment that the battle theme is kinda obnoxious at first, but it does grow on you by the end of the game.

Love the game, and loooooooove this battle theme. There's other good songs in the soundtrack too (though maybe not quite as good as this one) like the Fleshmaze Tango and second boss theme (off the top of my head).
I played this game after watching Dodger's playthrough, and loved it to bits.

Tried to download the game and it uploaded some game Dragon's Blade Hero of Darkwood, did I do something wrong? It says I downloaded OFF Translation v. 2.0. I installed the fonts, but I can't find any folder that boots the game up.
The launch file is named "RPG_RT", it's in the main folder (NEW OFF TRANSLATION v 2.0).

Someone recommended me to play this free game a couple days ago, it looked quite intriguing so I did. Finished it in 3 sittings and it turns out it's one of the most unique and weirdest RPGs I've ever played. Hours after finishing it, I'm still not sure I entirely understand what happened. I'd describe this game as a surreal, horror RPG with an Earthbound, Twin Peaks and French touch. I really wasn't sure at first, but at some point everything clicked and I was addicted. It's the same thing with this battle theme, I quickly went from finding it too unstructured for my liking, to bobbing my head everytime it played. Very recommended!
