This is one of my favourite songs of all time. And I haven't touched the Sonic Series since the Genesis.
I'm JUST now realizing you have nothing from Sonic Heroes. To be specific I'm talking about Ocean Palace. Also, I know it's just your opinion an' all, but I thought for sure you'd have the day version- and more from unleashed in general. The Tornado Defence stage is pretty good too. Everything from Apotos is great. Like, better than this great. Wow I sound terrible
Ocean Palace would be great. I'm also partial to Seaside Hill and Grand Metropolis. I played way too much Sonic Heroes growing up.
I would include What I'm Made Of, Egg Fleet and Final Fortress
It always bugged me how drastically different the PS2/Wii versions were from the PS3/360 versions. So the opinions people have about this game, that have only played one of the versions, are so drastically different. I've only played the Wii version, and I enjoyed it. Though I hear the 360 version had better daytime stages.
I love how the cello is the main star of this track. Not that I have a problem with the violin or piano taking the spotlight. Heavens no. But I love hearing the cello because I don't hear it enough.

Sonic Unleashed has such an amazing soundtrack. Probably my favorite Sonic OST. All around I love it.
It's hard to look through all the videos, but I hope you have discovered the soundtrack of Final Fantasy XI to be worth your time. Amazing stuff, one of the best soundtracks out of the entire FF series.

I so freakin love Adabat, and I love Sonic Unleashed, Adabat is so beautiful and both day and night music tracks for both town and stages are great for me, I sooo want to live there!!

Hopefully, your next best VGM will be Endless Possibilities Orchestra (Dark Gaia Phase 2). Man, that is also one of the top and best music I ever heard.

If there's one good thing that can be said about the majority of modern Sonic games, it's that they have great soundtracks. Even Sonic 06 had a good soundtrack.

One of my favourite tracks in this game, in one of my favourite soundtracks of this franchise. I will admit, the more I look at Sonic Boom, the less excited I get for it. It does seem to be looking very bland, but I'll give the TV series and the game the benefit of the doubt when they come out. Despite the fact that the game looks like a very standard multiplayer beat 'em up.

Last Sonic game I played has Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3, it was cool but a little bit unstable with lots of bad gameplay mechanics but I enjoyed. Sonic Unleashed was cool I remembered it when I played it for the PS2. Sonic Boom for me looks cool though I'll need to see more gameplay, I just can't seem to find a Sonic game that attracts me anymore =/. Music is top notch as always with themes like this and Crush 40 with theme songs ;D.
Congrats on surviving 06! And you enjoyed it? Dang, you must be a lot more patient (and positive) than the rest of the fanbase! XD
@Hannah G Haha yeah I think so, but as I said it was painful to play. I think I kept going cause I did not have anything to play or something like that.
Great to see someone else enjoyed Sonic 06, I got it for the 360 and my expectations were astronomically high, but I was like "meh, it's not that bad" and I liked Silver a lot, but those eternal loadscreens made me crazy, maybe I was a blind fanboy or I was just crazy to play some new Sonic at that time, then after that, Sonic Unleashed was a really pleasant surprise, one of the best Sonics I ever played
@Xero Solar Exact same feeling I had, I wanted to play a Sonic game like Adventures or something like that and 06 "looked" like the best option at the moment. Unleashed was a great surprise too, with the wolf and all. I just hope we get to see a great Sonic game again in the future. Sonic Boom looks ok to me but I need to see more...

Sonic Unleashed sure had an awesome soundtrack. Have you guys seen Sonic Boom? It looks like an absolutely terrible entry for an already unstable franchise. It's very hard to be optimistic about it. Just check out what Knuckles looks like, I first thought it was a bad joke. Hopefully the music will be as solid as ever since that's one of the few constantly positive things this franchise has going.
Not quite sure if it counts, but Amanita Design, the developers of Mechanarium have already released a similar game. It's called Botanicula, and similarly it has an amazing soundtrack! http://amanita-design.net/games/botanicula.html
