Oh man, you've gotta get some Turrican 2 music if you haven't already. That soundtrack is the best thing to ever grace the Amiga, though this is no slouch!

Why the heck do almost all water levels have two things in common: slow and/or agonizing gameplay and calming and/or cool music?

Personally I always liked songs with stereo like this. Apparently the Amiga had a lot of songs like this.
I thought it would be a more calming song, but i really like upbeat it sounds. I never knew this game existed. This is what I really love being subscribed to people who upload vgm. I get to learn about games that i otherwise would have never heard about.
The woody land OST is my favorite
Released pretty late in 1994 on the Amiga, there was a port named "Mr. Nutz 2" on the Genesis but it was never released. It got leaked online a couple years ago though. Just like the SNES game, this seems like an average 2D platformer with a soundtrack that has a couple highlights. His brother Conker got the better games!
as a kid I thought this was conker
Not an "average" platformer at all... Back then, the Super Nes version actually stood out among other 2D platformers, and for a long time. It was technically amazing and extremely fun... And despite its enormous production values, it was just a "garage game", made by only 2 guys! (+ 1 for the music, alright...)
