Loved the soundtrack of this game. Although the game itself wasn't as good as the original I gotta say they did improve on some stuff. This time around the story didn't lose steam at around three quarters of the game, and the final battle wasn't as bad (although it still wasn't that great either). The ending was easily better than the endings in the original Bioshock, but the story really makes no fucking sense once you put some time into thinking about it.
This is a beautiful track that conveys the emotions that express Elizabeth's story perfectly.
I don't really agree with your opinion but I'm agreeing about how good this song is.
Having no previous experience with the "-shock" series I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Playing with the Vigors was fun if you mixed up your playing style and liked the city of Columbia. I'm curious to check out the Burial at Sea DLC when that is fully completed (I'd rather play the episodes at once rather than waiting forever to get pieces of the whole thing)
I don't understand the criticism with this game. It doesn't quite hit the atmosphere or combat creativity as the original Bioshock but I immensely loved the story, Elizabeth, and Columbia. Combat was still pretty fun as well.
I thought the story was the weakest link. It was a poor mish-mash of a bunch of different ideas and concepts that dont really gel well, and the ending was forced and lame. Still had fun with it as a game though, especially the skyhooks
I thought that this game had an interesting story but the gameplay felt so repetitive that I just couldn't enjoy it. I loved the planning and fear that went into a Big Daddy fight, but the big fights in this game boiled down to shoot and don't get shot. I enjoyed the city of Columbia, but wished they let you explore more of it. In the end, it just didn't capture that feeling I got from Bioshock 1 and kind of disappointed me.
Glad to see this at #4 because it means that at least there will be at least one game in the top 3 that isn't Skyoshock, GTA5, or TLoU.

Easily the best track from the game. Happy to see you chose it as the representative. Whether or not it's comparable to Rapture, I did appreciate that they changed the setting, for variety's sake.
One of my favorite musical pieces in the past few years. I loved the game so much and cannot wait to play through Parts 1 & 2 of the DLC.
I don't even remember this song playing in the game. The game was incredibly overrated and failed to deliver on many fronts. It was fine and functional, even fun at parts, but the story was a major failure and Elizabeth was a terrible character from an AI standpoint. She added nothing to the game.

Personally I was really disappointed with this game. The sky-setting and the 50s theme had potential, but I feel like they just tacked it on and never really let you experience everything truly. When it comes to characters, the Luteces were probably the only ones I really enjoyed and Songbird was alright. After that I never liked any of the other ones, including Elizabeth. The actual gameplay was probably the most boring thing I've tried in any game this year, so that says a lot about my opinion. The enemies were even worse than the actual mechanics. The music was nice though, but yeah, not one of my favorite games.

A lot of things were cut apparently. They had already delayed a few times and they likely had pressure from their publisher to release it.
The first Bioshock being one of my favorite games of all time, this game "only" being #4 on this list is a disapointment. I loved it overall, but I couldn't help but to keep comparing it to both prequels and their amazing underwater setting, Rapture. To me, the sky setting felt forced, as if they started designing the game and said "Alright, we did underwater, now let's do something... in the sky!". They still managed to do something awesome with it at least, with some especially awesome artistic design. I found the gameplay as solid as ever and had no problem with the combat mechanics, but the level design was probably my biggest disapointment because of how linear and simple it was compared to its prequels. I don't think I was ever lost in its levels. The story was interesting, but it personally didn't stick with me that much. Elizabeth was a solid character, but as with the Zelda games, I prefer to play as a main character alone without any partner, it removes any distraction that can hurt my immersion into the game's world. I listed some negatives, but the whole package was still very solid and one of my favorites of the year.
Well said! I do agree with you on the whole "Alright, we did underwater, now let's do something... in the sky!" part, but I actually REALLY liked the story, I had no issues what so ever with Elizabeth as a companion. I did however, find the combat/gameplay a tad repetitive but overall it was also one of my favorites of the year! I did a top 5 games of 2013 video and I put Bioshock Infinite in 5th place! :P But the ending was just pure awesomness IMO. I love getting my mind blown by the ending! :D It felt like AC Brotherhoods ending!
