This game will always be really special to me. Being an older brother, I found myself really connecting with this game's story and theme. This game is my solid game of 2013 just from it's setting, theme, and characterization alone. That isn't even counting the unique gameplay and puzzle solving.

I really can't wait until I'm able to play this game (probably will play it on PC since I will not be buying a 360 or PS3 any time soon). What I do know is the music for this game is absolutely incredible. Of the few songs I have listened to so far, this is my favorite. I will finish listening to the soundtrack soon.
Loved the game and this song, but I'm glad you didn't showcase one of the pieces with the obnoxious vocalist screeching "HEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEE HEEEEEEE" :P It might sound daft but that was my biggest complaint with the game, it honestly took me out of a few emotional beats with how stupidly overdone it was. The scenes would have hit just fine with their content and the instrumental songs, we don't need a shrieking singer to remind us when to be sad...
Same music different opinion. I think that vocal sound fits perfectly with background atmosphere.
Completely fair! A lot of people did so I'd never begrudge them for the decision. Sad to say it did drive me nuts and took me out of a few emotional scenes, but I still love the game and everything instrumental in the score :)
Just like many other gamers, I loved and enjoyed this game. Brothers is just one of the best expiermences I had in this year.
Loved this game so much. It was so simple but also extremely beautiful throughout.
There are 3 games from 2013 that come to mind where my expectations were probably way too high after seeing all the praise they received: Gone Home, The Stanley Parable and this game. While I was mostly disappointed with Gone Home and The Stanley Parable, I did end up enjoying Brothers. I didn't really get any of the emotional connection some people had with the story as I thought it sometimes felt forced, and I feel like the puzzles often showed potential but were never too developed. What is it that won me over? The atmosphere and the amazingly varied vistas, giving you a great feel of being on a big adventure even if it only truly spans a couple a hours. The whole game had a mix of ICO and Fable auras. One thing to note, I played this game on PC and found it almost unplayable with a keyboard. Decided to use my generic USB controller, and one of the very first puzzles is bugged unless you have the Xbox 360 controller for PC, so I had to buy one (good investment for other games so I wasn't too unhappy). Still, quite a mishap on the developers' part.
Yeah, played all three and this one is surely the best. I got very emotional on the ending, and i'm usually not a guy to get emotional very often. An excellent title from 2013.
@SupraDarky This sums up my experience with the game pretty perfectly. I can see how some people get intensely immersed in the experience; I didn't. But I don't regret one second I spent playing this game.
