I thought that this sounded pretty similar in tone to Green Garden from Bomberman 64 (especially that kind of subtle bass line). Turns out it's the same composer. Thanks for the upload! Always nice to get some musical variety, and your playlists have it in spades.
This was definitely the most predominate Mario Party in my childhood. Although I had an N64 growing up, I never really got into the Mario Party games until 4.
this game disappointed me. First Mario Party for the GC, and the first one I played since Mario Party 1, but it wasn't as good...
It's nice to hear good music again after listening to so much of Starbound's soundtrack.
This was my first Mario Party game, and will probably always be my favorite! This is probably the only party game I can play by myself and enjoy every minute (though me and my friends had some pretty fun and intense matches...great, now I wanna track them all down so we can play this again).
I played the shit out of this game, back when I would only get a game on birthday or on christmas.
Ha. This brings back memories. Many good times spent playing this game with my cousin. But damn did the games take way too long. They really needed to speed up the non mini game portions.
Mario Party has always been a series close to my heart as I have been a fan of it since the first game came out back in 1999 good memories :) may I ask you where you got this soundtrack from? I have all the other gamecube MP games in flac but not this one
4 is like $40 now at most any place you can find it these days. I should've kept mine.
Sadly the 4th game was the start of the 'not another Mario Party series'. A lot of the soul and interesting gameplay elements were removed, less variety between boards and mini games and generally a lazy feel to it all. Here's hoping the new 3DS title does something different and interesting.
I never really had a chance to play Mario party to be honest :( None of my friends had it, (and not often we could be 4 players)
I'd still recommend it! I would pick any of them except 4 and 8 (too little minigames)

I loved the toy houses and accessories you got in story mode... spent countless hours getting them all.
Unfortunately, I have only played MP 8 and it was meh. I will say that this music is really pleasant to listen to.
Well, MP8 is the most meh of the series. I suggest trying out some older ones. My favourites are MP2, and MP6. But MP3 has some modes and mechanics too, that only appears in that game.

Ah Mario Party 4. This was the first game I got alongside my Gamecube, and boy did my cousin and I have a lot of fun playing it. Of the first 4 MP games, this is definitely my favorite of the bunch. I'm pretty sure this and the 1st Mario Party games are the ones I've spent the most time playing, especially when I was younger. I love the soundtrack, the boards, the mini-games, and all the goodies you can unlock as you play the game. The opening still gives me chills to this day to watch, and this game will always hold a special place in my heart.
The first game in the series is easily the one I played most, but I did play a couple of the other games as well with friends, this one in particular. This theme has probably been stuck in my head simply because it plays on the first map. Classic, cheery and pleasant Nintendo sound, always enjoyable to listen to.
I've been silently waiting for so long until you added this one into the list :) It's so calm and peaceful, but also full of fun! I somehow knew you were going to add this one...
