Me too! Except Three years ago for me. It was a night of Dreams come True for me . Heard One Winged Angel, Time Scar. One of the most memorable and best nights of my life. I only wish they could have played Liberi Fatali, and the night would have been perfect, but alas, hearing those two songs alone with a live Choir and Orchestra was mind blowing!
I had the pleasure of hearing this performed live late last year (Video Games Live, check it out if you've not heard of it). Christopher Tin was conducting and everything, it was fantastic.

@Mariner35 you missed out a lot, by the way I dont like Civ V new city management but love the new war mechanics, if Sid mixed the new war tactics with Civ 4 Beyond the Sword it would be perfect

I downloaded the demo before. Turned out my computer couldn't run the game. But I was able to get to the main menu, before it became unplayable. This music is one of the biggest reasons I had to get this game. Which by the way this was the first game I bought when I got a better computer.

Baba Yetu is Composed by Christopher Tin, performed by Stanford Talisman. The text is supposed to be "The Lord's Prayer" in Swahili, slighly adjusted in order to sound better. Shouldn't be too hard to find the lyrics with that info :-)

Sounyoma, Meier is one of the 4X genre's most important and well known leaders. Just because you are ignorant of his work doesn't mean that his position was or is at all irrelevant. He has brought out several cult classics and served to flesh out and bring life to the 4X genre as a whole. In summation, learn your shit.

You probably don't know any strategy gamers then. Sid Meier is virtually a god to strategy gamers. No other game has quite captured the penultimate dream of strategy gamers everywhere like Civilization!

Takes a while to figure out, but you can put weeks of playing time into it. Probably one of the best cost per time games out there.
