Almost every version includes both games. This version is "Ys I & II Chronicles" which includes Ys I Chronicles and Ys II Chronicles. The song is from Ys II Chronicles but the image is from Ys I Chronicles. But even so, it's kind of splitting hairs since Ys I & II are really two parts of the same game and always have been. It's more like Ys 1: Part 1 and Ys 1: Part 2, but that's not how the numbering works.
I never played this game, but the music is very nice. I'm repeating it a lot =)

I haven't played the chronicles series, though I did the ones on the original TurboGrafx-16. Their music was always something that stood out in the series, even back in the day when Ys was one of the first games to utilize the CD technology of reproducing music.
Another great chill track, man. Ys has some great music. Too bad the series is so obscure.

The battle system has made me trepidatious about picking up Ys I & II Chronicles through a couple of Steam sales, even though I quite liked Ys Origin and Oath (and their music in particular). Maybe next time...

I finished the first Ys Chronicles a couple weeks ago and found it alright, but this game is superior in every way. A great arranged soundtrack, pleasant graphics and generally more fleshed out, which is expected. The fact that you can attack diagonally is a big plus compared to the first game. I immediately loved this chill town theme, great guitar. The basic battle system and shoot 'em up style bosses make me prefer Oath in Felghana, but it's still a very fun game.
