Wow didn't know he did the music to this game. might be because there were 2 other composers for this game. iv always considered Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu as 2 composers that can do no harm. True masters of videogame music making. love everything they do.

why so angry? it's a nice little soothing tune. not less, not more. have you played the game? it fit the areas it was used in very well. Also it originally may not even be this long. It was probably set on repeat by the uploader. If you don't spend too much time where it was used you may not notice the repetition. This is game music design for you.

@Lenariet Um, who's angry? It's a boring repetitive song, but I'm not angry about it, I'll be OK. I did play the game. I preferred the original and think SH:C is one of the most overrated RPGs around, but it was pretty decent.

I love the Shadow Hearts game because of the unique battle system. The other one with a unique battle system would be Legends of Dragoon.

Play the 'Tales of' Series of games...more specifically 'Tales of the Abyss', for me that is the defining game for the series. One of the most unique battle systems around in my opinion :)

The European town was one of the the last places I visited in this game, and since I was always stuck on this level, I always listened to this soundtrack. Brings back nostalgic memories. <3

Yasunori Mitsuda is so good at that. I thought that pretty much every moment I was playing Xenogears and Chrono Cross. He is my favorite video game composer.

This is exactly what a European town sounds and feels like. This is what my own hometown in Ireland sounds like to me. That's why this is such a great achievement by Yasunori Mitsuda. DEFINITELY the best town theme I've ever heard in a game.

whoever made the SH series really has taste in storyline,monsters,characters, and music. you wouldn't believe me but whenever I used this soundtrack for a homework (slideshow and stuff like that about documentary -.-) I always got the best note ^^ I strongly recommend this game to all RPG lovers :DD

The Covenant is perfect but FTNW is also great, really funny not to mention that it is more chalenging than the 2 first games. To bad it seems that the series will not continue.

Anyone notice almost all Mitsuda tracks sorta have a similar feel to them. He uses a lot of very original sounding minor chords, that make it sound happy/sad. Kinda hard to explain if you don't understand music theory but either way this man is a genius.

yeah definitely 10/10 for covenant. for FTNW i'd probably give it 7/10. haven't played the first one yet. i do hope that they make more SH games too.. hopefully they'll make it darker and more serious like Covenant.

yes, i agree that the characters in FTNW are very weird and underdeveloped. some are okay and kind of funny but the cast in Covenant is a lot better. FTNW is a decent RPG, but the story is not really all that good. i wanted to quit halfway through the game, but by doing more sidequests, it did get more interesting so i did eventually finish it.

Yeah... the game had a certain quirk about it that made it so interesting. not a "Quirk" like game magazines talk about, but one that was something more than a sales device. I loved the whole freakin' thing.

The game has the BEST graphics compared to any other PS2 title, the BGM is by far superior to many others with only a few competing against it, and the story is fascinating and keeps you intrigued every second. This song is the best option for long boring train rides on my way to college xD

Ah~ love this music, so peaceful and serene (even though u hear it in every single town..) but they couldnt have chosen better. The game's one of my favorite rpg's though, strongly recommend it to anyone.

This game is Shadow Hearts Covenant, which is the 2nd in the series (3 total). Covenant is probably in my top 3 RPGs in the last generation so yeah, I absolutely loved it. Playing the first SH before is a good idea as well since Covenant is a direct sequel story-wise, though you can perfectly enjoy Covenant without having played it. I recommend this game to any RPG fan.

Have you played Final Fantasy IV or any of the three PS1 Final Fantasies. There are some great songs on those games. Oh, and nice track by the way, best Shadow Hearts on your list so far IMO.
