A collection of my favorite videogame music. Note that most of them are from games I played so I might miss some great ones from games I never played.

The kind of music I wish KH3 had gotten, to be honest, instead of 95% rehashed music from older installments.
So, you said that the trend was to dislike more each consecutive entry? Did it apply here?

This game was such a step up from BIS! The dream world is a lot more fun, the world feels alive (for the first time since SS) and the battle system between reality and dream actually feel different and fun!
@garfreeek Honestly, I think all of the Mario and Luigi games are top-notch. I have a hard time deciding my favorite... But I think it's between Dream Team and Partners in Time. PiT had some really amazing environments, if you ask me. And the action command system, with the babies, was so cool!
I have no idea why I never liked PIT, I should just re-play it sometime to check what I don't like (I think it's the lack of an overworld)
It's still a really well made game, so I can easily see why someone would love it :D
PiT *is* a bit more... Segregated in its environments, yeah... I get that. I love how every game thus far has had an amazing final boss that's totally epic and fits the game well. It's my favorite part.
Interesting; while I enjoyed all the MaL games, Superstar Saga and BIS were my favorites XD
This reminds me a lot of The World That Never Was from KH2, but a lot brighter. Also, I really enjoyed Somnom Woods, especially because of this music and the normal world's music, but this track is probably my favorite dream area theme.

I don't know why, but this song reminded me of Cavern of Remembrance from KH2FM.
It's Yoko Shimomura, she does all of KH, so... yeah. Could be why. :)

Hated this place - it seemed to drag on and on and on, and shared some of the most time-consuming enemies with Neo Bowser's Castle. Like the track, though!
Yeah, it did use touch screen controls. And now that I think about it, I don't like the randomness when it came to the battles. Some sections you would be better off flipping a coin. It was still fun.

2013 has been pretty mixed around to me. Played a lot on the Vita with Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush and LittleBigPlanet Vita, then played a lot of 3DS with Luigi's Mansion and AC New leaf. I'd say my playing time is 50% PS3, 30% 3DS 20% Vita. 3DS sure has had a breakout year in sales though, no denying that.
Wow Shimomura for the soundtrack?? Very huge composer to bring into this series. I really enjoyed BiS too though I'm wishing NIntendo makes another Paper Mario in the vein of Thousand Year Doors cause Sticker Star was immensely disappointing to me.

Wow, this is so different than what I was expecting. The last mario and luigi game I played was superstar saga- and I still play it every now and then.
Good old Shimomura. She makes some fantastic music.
The one and only thing that pisses me off so much about dream team is that the game can't shut the fuck up. After 4 hours I was still getting tutorial instructions by dreambert and the gameplay was interrupted after every 2 minutes. I'm now at 10 hours and the problem is mostly gone, but the first maybe 5 hours were extremely annoying at times. Still probably my favorite Mario and Luigi game after the original.

WHOA this is amazing! I love this. I definitely recognize this her style. Has that old classic feel but much more modern all mixed into one. So glad you uploaded this. I'm adding this to my playlist

Hey Gabe, I´m the one who messaged you about Shimomura working on FFXV. In regards to your worries on working on two major projects on the same time, I believe the OST of FFXV must be about done now so she shouldn´t have to divide efforts. This really reminds me of the world that never was from KH2. I believe she is chnging up her style, in KH3D you can notice some slight deviations from her usual themes. She keeps getting better! Congrats on the list once again.
This Game is Amazing! The humor is finally back to Superstar Saga level. And the Enemies have become really challenging...at least some. I personally can't understand why so many magazines judge this game so "bad" And so many people seem to hype BiS...it's a good game, but I found the every Humor besides Krankfried lame and Boring....namely nothing else than than Bowsers Stupidity...
Indeed. Sucks to be european a bit though. No date on SMTIV :( However, Etrian IV in August (Late date as usual for Europeans, Zelda in Winter, Pokemon in October.) Have had a great year with this machine. (Except for Paper mario and Project x Zone) Slowstarted but finally going full out now :D
From what i have seen. The bosses are challenging. Also this game has the difficulty of partners in time. The art style is 3D art and pixels, but you cant tell the difference between them. It is a mix of the overworld style of Superstar Saga and the 2D environments of Bowser's Inside Story, however the 2D segments are less common. Hope this sums up the game for ya.

This, SMT IV, Pokemon X... 3DS is hitting my wallet harder than the Steam sale did.
Shimomura makes the best Mario music, which is saying a lot given how many great composers have worked on the series.
Cavern of Remembrance
Great upload! Yoko Shimomura really showed off her Kingdom Hearts chops in this soundtrack. This piece reminds of "Cavern of Rememberance" from KHII:FM. Even the game itself looks great. GOTY material :)

Does the Giant Battle operate on touch screen controls. I really disliked Bowser's Inside Story's giant battles.

I'm gonna guess M&L:DT is going to have the worst supervillian of the series, since from that picture, the big obvious guy with darkness surrounding him looks like something I'd doodle as a kid. Meh, still looking forward to it.
To be honest, I prefer BiS over PiT. Mostly because PiT was too linear for a RPG. You could go around the map, come back to previous areas (either with M&L or with Bowser) just for secret or for the main quest in BiS (which remind me what I loved about M&L:SS). But, PiT had better villains then BiS.
I played a demo of this game at Comic-Con this year. It's hilarious, awesome, and surprisingly epic. Two words: Giant Battle. :)

Now that's the Shimomura music I love. You can recognize her style, especially with the harp (which also reminds me of Mitsuda), but I'm glad she's also trying something new here. Very nice ambient piece, mixing the harp/piano with electronic synths and awesome bass. As for the game itself, I've said on twitter that I've been liking each new entry in this series less than its prequel, so I hope the trend stops there. Lots of people loved BiS though!
