i love the Spanish guitar in this piece.
I hesitated at first but after I bought it and got the platinum trophy i am in love with this game. The fighting/ combo system is pretty deep and exciting, the power ups and dodging are a ton of fun and very useful to get around.

This superb power fantasy that is Guacamelee mixed with music like this... Really nothing truly like it.
This was the first game I ever Plat'd, and for good reason. I do have to agree with the masses when they claim that the game is too short, but I believe this is a good thing, for it leaves us wanting more! The music was nothing short of epic; it was a blend of mariachi and dance that gave the game energy while instilling the proper atmosphere. Definitely worthy of an entry into SD's collection!
Later today, I'm going to eat fajitas while listening to this. What an awesome song!

Interestingly, I just finished the series with this video, as well. It took me two attempts and this second one I'd estimate at about 6 months. But what to do now??

I watched the trailer for this with my brother back in October or so and we were gobsmacked. Now that it's out and getting amazing reviews I think it's time to check it out.

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT! I thought this was a super meat boy style type platformer thing because I'd never actually looked up on it, not a metroidvania! It's a metroidvania, it's Mexican and it's a 2 player? YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW PERFECT THIS IS TO ME!
They didn't intend for it to be taken seriously, in name or any other aspect of style. Though it's not all really simple bad puns and stuff, they have legitimate folklore influences in there, or so they say.
This is one of those games that I'm pretty conflicted about trying. Metroidvania got me interested too, but it looks a bit too... simple hack and slash for a metroidvania for me.
I just bought this game, played it a bit and I'm sure I'll be having some great fun. The game's description had me at "Metroidvania". The whole Mexican/luchadore setting is also very fresh. The humor seems great and I like how there are many references (for example, the statue in the picture being a direct homage to the Metroid series). The soundtrack is fittingly awesome too!
