From what I've heard of the Turrican serie, it has great music! Nice find!
I did know that but i should have been way more specific on the Street Fighter II since there's at least three versions of it and while there music is mostly the same all of them are different enough that you may want to listen to each of them but i really couldn't tell which one has the best ost.
Just for the record TMNT TFs was also on snes, though they were different games with different compositions in their osts. Street fighter 2 was also on snes. But you probably knew all that already.
Sadly i haven't played any Turrican games, but this song goes fuckin hard ha, i imagine some sort of Contra-esque Schwarzenegger style Badassery ..... That or tanks/jets :)
Never played this one, only Super Turrican, I was very surprised by its soundtrack.

I really liked the soundtracks to Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force, Shining in the Darkness, Y's III, Streets of Rage II, Contra: Hard Corps, Ristar, Comix Zone, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Landstalker, Light Crusader, Rocket Knight Adventures, Gunstar Heroes, Sword of Vermillion, Alien Soldier, Langrisser II, TMNT: Tournament Fighters, and Street Fighter II should be a good start for you. :)
Some of the best Genesis soundtracks I would say are the Streets of Rage soundtracks, Thunder Force 3 and 4 (4 has one of the best of all time!) Rocket Knight Adventures, Contra Hard Corps, etc. The Genesis definitely had more of a harsh, ass kicking sound compared to the SNES!
One of my favorite Genesis soundtracks. I usually prefer the SNES sound, but when composers knew how to get a rocking sound out of the Sega console, it was awesome (like this or the Yuzo Koshiro games). I actually prefer most of this version's music than the SNES version, with some expections like Stage 1-3 (Best VGM 489).
