Love the Ys music, so good.
Played it through Hard first. Unlike in Origin the countless bosses kicked my butt so hard that it felt like Dark Souls was a casual kids game.
I could some classy unce-ing to this.
Right you say this now, but when you play YS I and YS II as good as the music and story might be you will start hating the bump combat system they have. Its a different level of frustration that much is for sure.
I noticed no one had pointed this out in the comments yet-- this is a remix of "Clock Tower" from YS III from the Super Nintendo, which this game is a remake of. Are you going to post the original? Typically, I know you post the originals when you post a song that's a remix.

Loved what I've played of this game but it kind of fell into my backlog, too. The first boss seems to be really hard, although I may very well be underleveled.
This game made me realise how much I suck at video games. xD

I didn't know think you would ever put this on the list! This game has some of the best guitar work ever done in a video game hands down. At its best it's an amazing melodic shredfest.
Most of the Ys games are on PSP. Theres 1,2, this one and 7 on it. 1 and 2, Origins(only on pc) and oath are on steam though.
I'm playing Ys for the first time on Steam. I'm 5-6 hours into Ys I but man I love the music. I can't wait to play the rest! ^_^
You should definitely check out the Ys Origin Super Arrange soundtrack CD. Those versions are amazing. Silent Desert is my favorite.
This is the only YS game I've played but I enjoyed it quite a bit. If that entry was so good, maybe I'd enjoy others. Any suggestions? I would prefer something I can play on an S/NES or GBA emulator

I remember trying to play a Ys game on the PSP. I regret that choice. No, not because the game wasn't good or anything like. It's because of t--LOADING-
IMO Ys Origin isn't as satisfying as Ys III. Then again i should have played as yunica, as its hard to not spam the shield spell with Hugo Fact.
How did you like the final boss, i unfortunately played the game on hard. I think i died 14+ times before i was finally able to beat him
Best part of Ys is the music, I'm glad you got into the series, I'm expecting some good uploads in the future.
Good luck with Origin, I was really pleasantly surprised with it after Felghana. Music's not as high tempo but the gameplay feels more enjoyable and varied.

Im playing ys origin right now.. It is BETTER than oath in felghana(not storywise though). Ys seven to me is the best in the series. Im glad to see someone else joining in on the ys series party!! It is quickly becoming one of my favourite series of all time. After I finish Origin I wont have any ys game left unfortunately. I am even making an ys series retrospective. Thanks for uploading this :)

This game is also great at making you feel powerful. A couple levels and new equipment, and you can go from getting your ass kicked by simple monsters to obliterating them, which feels awesome. Fast combat, charming graphics and an awesome soundtrack. I'll be playing Ys Origin next
Finished this game yesterday, played through it in 3 days since I couldn't stop. It's the first Ys game I finish and this game sold me on this franchise. Loved it! I thought the difficulty on Normal was perfect, with some very hard bosses. Learning their patterns is part of the fun and you can really feel like you're making progress until you eventually beat them.
