Ace Combat is one of the reasons why I love video games and video game soundtracks, a air combat game with a gorgeous soundtrack to capture the mood of the mission. Megalith -Agnus Dei- The Unsung War Into the Dusk The Journey Home (Radio) 15 Years Ago are just some of the songs that come to mind from the Ace Combat soundtracks that I had the chance to experience first hand from playing the games. You never forget your first time when Into the Dusk plays, god what a emotional scene. I only first started playing Ace Combat a year ago, and I hate that I missed the ps2 games when they first came out
Don't forget The Liberation of Gracemeria, from AC7: Fires of Liberation.

I played this game not to long ago, the mission was Megalith. Why u may ask? because of the awsome music.
the Ace Combat series (especially 4 but not including assault horizon) is one of the most absolutely immersive series to play. It does an amazing job of making you truly feel like the best pilot to ever fly a fighter jet. You single handedly turn the war in your side's favor and everyone around you recognizes your accomplishments, in 4 the enemy even goes so far as to name you the grim reaper. It's all skill and every mission feels epic in both scale and accomplishment.

This is a very surprising track, especially coming from a game that seems to involve air combat! Usually, the soundtracks of these kind of games are all fast-paced. Really love this one!

This song is the reason I even tried an Ace Combat game, and let me say I was pleasantly surprised at how good they actually are. Especially the PS2 era has a large number of amazing songs... Out of all the series that have gotten HD remakes the past few years I think this series is more deserving of one than all of them. "You're not gonna believe this, Jean-Louis! All of them have ribbon insignias!"
Let me give you an advice: go get Ace Combat 5 ;)

Well this was unexpectedly awesome!
Ace Combat 4 has one of the best ost in the series. Too bad that the recent Assault Horizon has nothing to do with the old ones, in terms of gameplay and story . I want Ace Combat with fictional universe back again; maybe a remake of Ace Combat 3 or a HD collection Also, don't forget that Ace Combat 3DS is actually a remake of Ace Combat 2. ( which means fictional universe :) )
Hope more picks come from this game, I've been jamming to these off and on this week. Forgot the 3DS game existed, might grab the Steam game soon.
I was about to say the EXACT SAME THING about the part at 1:06. Actually, this whole track makes me think of Mario Galaxy. The chorus part reminds me of the track used for SMG2's final boss.

This is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time, video game or not. I've never even played any of the Ace Combat games, but the Shattered Skies soundtrack is truly amazing and should be heard by any lover of music.

The Ace Combat series has some of the most epic video game themes and this one is up there. The part at 1:06 sounds like something that could be in Super Mario Galaxy. When used in the right way, choirs can really make the whole experience memorable. I like the break at 3:03. Anyone tried Ace Combat for the 3DS? I actually forgot it even existed.
