So much theme for so stupid game!
Ok, let me start this off with the following: I HATED this game. To call this a Devil May Cry game would be like calling Dragon ball Evolution a proper rendition of Dragon Ball. However, i will say some of the music is good and Kat was a good character even if she wasn't really used to her full potential. And while i'd hate to see a sequel to this (unless they didn't call it Devil may cry and instead made it it's own series), i wouldn't mind them working Kat into the regular DMC verse somehow.
The thing about that is none of the fans want Ninja Theory to make a sequel. Which is why it didn't sale.
yes I do agree that DmC is cliched, yes I do agree that both Dante and Vergil are sort of badly represented.. but it's paced well, it's presented well, it's as if I am hearing the story for the first time again. it's really sad that the sales are low, but hopefully they would have bigger sales if there was a DmC 2 now that they have a well developed and a white haired Dante
this is what the DMC franchise was missing the whole time; Character exposition and Character development! in DMC4 they also did the same thing with the Damsel in distress and I barely gave a shit if Nero rescued Kyrie because I barely know who the hell the are! it was so quick and sudden! here, the game gave us time to learn about the characters, their back story,their personality, their relationships their strengths, and their weaknesses!
I have been playing this on repeat. It's beautiful. I think it's fitting for a human female caught up in a demonic war.
i love this song calm but yet sad and the way dante is caring when kat gets shot is just heartbreaking and lovable

A very touching moment after Kat is shot where Dante just wants to hold her hand to let her know it will be alright. However, even with being right next to her, the fact he's in Limbo makes it so he may as well be a million miles away...this song really helped convey how helpless he must have felt being unable to protect her. Great song!
In various moments that Kat has with Dante throughout the game. Like when she talks about her past in the car, or how people fall for the Virility thing and when she gets taken by the police. It slightly plays at the end too, but then it switches to metal when the camera focus in Dante's eyes.

SWEETNESS thanx man. I'm listening to it right now as I'm taking a break from homework. I'm a huge fan of "the classics" since VG's these days aren't my "style" I'm not a fan of what's squareENIX is doing to the FF series...nor what EA has done to the Mass Effect series...it's sad... The entire CC Soundtrack was perfect IMO. It has the right music/atmosphere of the game. It was penned with Passion not BS Corps... the passion is gone these days
My understanding is that many of the substantial, and for the most part hated changes, such as Dante's new look are actually and effect purely from Capcom. This honestly disappoints me, because I have to wonder how much better it might have been without such nagging. Oh well.

For me: Mass Effect 1 (ME2 probably 2nd) Fav Adventure? for me, Zelda OOT anyway I've enjoyed your playlists as I do homework. I like your choices (not all) but man it's great to see the Classics Especially the Classic Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (though I have yet to see the track: Dead Sea Tower of Ruins) you need to add that

Definitely checking the game out since I've loved most everything the group at Ninja Theory put a load of heart and character into all their projects. For cool atmospheric theme too.

the game me be a horrible mess but atleast this song is really nice
this game's writing is down right awful and just drops profanities in an attempt to be cool, it thinks its smarter than it really is.
I personally think Dante's new look suits him very well for the game. The game even shows how he gets his white hair(and makes fun of his future look in the beginning). He isn't a adult in this game but more a young man. I just finished it today and I loved the story and the characters, was hoping to see a VGM from you on here from the disco stage, one of my favorite levels(the visuals were amazing and the level layout was fun, almost felt like I was playing Mortal Kombat at times).

The chance that I haven't played a game from the current or past year is definitely higher, seeing as I rarely buy new games Day 1 anymore and I don't have an infinite amount of free time.
I'm not sure I get where you're coming from, seeing as I played so many games in my life I've lost count. And gaming is still my main hobby. Sometimes when I know I won't be able to buy/play a game as soon as it comes out, I'm simply a curious VGM fan who likes to check out its soundtrack and see if I should be even more excited for the game. As the description of my videos always said, I played most (not all) of the games in this list. I believe it's still the case.
I'm dying to play the game. I love whatever Ninja Theory touches. They have been great stories told and good game play sequences. Great characters are definitely expected but turned down a notch just because I know it's DMC characters lol. Only so much you can do :p
what im trying to say here is that the song selections are a bit less meaningful if you dont actually get to experience the music WHEN the game actually presents it and stuff... I prefer seeing a best VGM list that actually gave an impact on someone and not just.. "well, i found this on an OST, sounds great so imma add it to the list" kinda deal. Anyway enough rambling, just my opinion anyway

Okay action game, but nowhere near as good gameplay or entertaining characters. This song is beautiful though.
The only other song I've heard by Noisia was Machine gun, so this is quite different.
Definitely on my to-play list.
I'm playing this right now It's great. It's a little more story heavy than previous games, but I think that actually adds to the game. It is still most certainly a devil may cry game.
The game has good music and nice graphics, and the gameplay is fun even though it's watered down compared to previous DMCs, but the rest of the game isn't awful, it's downright vile.

I remember saying I had faith in Ninja Theory to make a good DMC game and looking at reviews, it seems like they did a pretty good job. I'm still not a fan of Dante's new look though, but maybe I'll get used to it once I play the game. I really like this theme, it's surprisingly calm with a hint of sadness.
