For some reason the preview music for the next episode for the anime Monster (2003) sounds JUST like this.

Nope, Haishima Kunaiki did Monster. He also did the Soundtrack for Metroid: Other M.
I see. Oh well. Kinda funny since you mention it, Kow Otani did the music for not only several Godzilla movies, he also composed for an anime called Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan, it's ova series and the prequel Reimeiroku. It's funny listening to the music and hearing SO much SotC in it. Â

Yes, it is VERY obscure. It was adapted from a PSP Otome game of the same name. Apparently it was pretty big in Japan for a time.

I have sheet music for this. Euphonium (me) playing bottom part, and the solo at the beginning and end of the piece. Trumpet is going to the flute player that comes in, because Euphonium and flute don't really mix well. I hope to get a Marimba player to learn the harmony part.Â

You should play the PS4 remake; it's absolutely gorgeous.
Never played this one, not yet at least. I dont have a ps2 anymore nor do i have a ps3 but i have a vita. Hopefully its available on the ps4.
This game is a work of art. Recently replayed it and it's still surprisingly playable. I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who has not played it by now. In my opinion this is a must-have.

it plays when you wait a little bit in the main menu, a cutscene comes in of Agro wandering around the temple as Wander rests.
This is one of the best games ever. I love it, bought it for PS2 when it came out and bought the HD version for ps3 when it released. I even got the platinum trophy (that third colossi time attack on hard mode was a killer). I highly recommend it to everyone I know. Simply amazing. That said where does this song play at?
A good friend and I played through this game just the other day for the first time, all day. It was amazing. We were fighting over who got to fight the colossi, and by the end we had been emotionally wracked by the effects of our actions and what transpired in this timeless game. There is no question: you must play Shadow of the Colossus before you die.
The HD version is amazing! This is my favorite game and the HD version is beautiful! Honestly one the most visually beautiful games I've ever played.
you get Flow, Flower, and Journey along with their respective soundtracks, a free month of ps plus (which is amazing), extra mini games (quirky), and other stuff. I don't have the game yet, but I'm hoping for christmas *sigh*

Consoles can in fact go above 30 fps, its just the standard, games like F-zero and CoD sacrifice visual fidelity for 60 fps. The original SotC tried to run at 30 but most of the time it doesn't get that, probably more around the 20-24 region, it got as low as 12 when things got busy on screen, nothing game breaking but certainly immersion breaking. Shame the port only runs at 30, the ps3 could easily handle 60 but hey, better then nothing right?
Have you tried emulating the game? It's a real pain and even in 2016 a modern gaming PC has trouble getting it up to 25 fps, so considering the PS3 is almost a decade old now it's pretty nice that it manages to run in 30 fps with no glitch, no bug, with the original light bloom and motion blur, without ever dropping a single fps from the beginning to the end
The PS3 port is a must-buy if you end up getting a PS3. While the PS2 version was great, it suffered from a lot of slowdown at certain points. The addition of trophies is just an added bonus. You can really tell that a lot of hard work went into the re-release. The Uncharted series is a must-play. I would also recommend the Infamous series and the Resistance series. One hidden gem that nobody has mentioned yet it seems is Valkyria Chronicles. It honestly might be the best PS3 game.
Um consoles can and do go to 60 FPS. This has been possible since PS2 era since Devil May Cry was always at 60 FPS then.
Actually it runs on 30 fps too. Consoles cannot get a higher FPS than 30. The original was around 25-30 at it's best.
SotC was made by a studio owned by Sony. They're not going to give the competition their exclusives.

What's in the Journey collection?
I will always say that this game is the main leader in the cause for videogames being viewed as art. This game is beautiful in every single way; graphics, music, story, feel, all of it. Not a single thing about this game was wrong. Despite there being little actual dialogue, this game's story gets you right in the feels.
I just bought a PS3, those 12 gb ones... And I just own Demon's Souls, Ico & SotC HD and Journey :) No need for more Great music here, man!
Sony owns this franchise so it wouldn't be on anything other than a Sony product. Konami owns MGS and ZoE.
The port was great! It has trophies and still holds itself as a beautiful game. I also recommend the Journey collection, the Uncharted series, and the Unfinished Swan.
Demon's Souls, ICO & SotC Collection, LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2(namely 2), 3D Dot Game Heroes. These are my highest recommendations for exclusives.

This game is quite overrated, just my opinion, it got some good music but thats it..I had higher hopes since I missed playing it during the PS2 era. And I cant stand the people who says that the story is freakin deep, cuz it isnt..lol.... :p ICO was cooler for some reason,.. I guess it was the castle feeling and the thing that you gotta find a way out or something,...I rather do that instead of climbing on monsters and holding onto them over and over again.
Listening to this music while Agro runs around freely is one of the most relaxing things ever. It's amazing how they put such a great song in such a minor part of the game.
