I was actually downloading this for my gym tunes LOL
The music style is called for whatever reason 8bit or also chiptune. But infact the NES soundchip was only 4bit except for the dmc channel which could playback 7bit samples but was barely ever used because of the memory usage.
@masterplusmargarita The vast majority of Robot Masters are the good kind of weird, it's part of what makes these games awesome. Don't forget Dive Man, he's a submarine with legs! MM6 has the most unusual RMs, purely because they had a theme of humanoid warriors. Not saying those RMs are bad either. I happen to think that toads, pharaohs, light bulbs, dinosaur bones, submarines, drills, rings and vaccum cleaners made for a pretty badass Mega Man game.
this would be great workout music....
Now that I think about it, Skull Man had a very interesting stage because of it appearing to be made out of dinosaur bones. :D

MegaMan IV seriously had the weirdest boss collection of all, except maybe MegaMan VI. Dust Man? Skull Man? Toad Man? Ring Man? Pharaoh Man? Bright Man? The only two not-weird ones were Ring Man (Whose non-weirdness is debatable) and Drill Man

I would play the skull man stage over and over again just to hear this awesome 8 bit tune as a kid. I miss the days of 8 bit gaming!
every remix and remake of the song i hear...it sounds happy. this is the only dark and epic version of the song that i know of, making it the best. hey. hes "Skull Man." happy music doesn't exactly fit him

... I'm trying to figure out why people always focus on Skull Man's theme so much. Mega Man 4 had better songs, I know this! Its entire soundtrack is great though-- it's one of my favourite Mega Man games.

Wood Man, Skull Man, Plant Man, Junk Man and Jewel Man all share similar abilities..
i think by that time capcom got dry on weapons skull mans power (if i remember correctly) is EXACTLY the same as woodman

during the later 80s and early 90s era, 8-bit is ass kicking to me. And still is....!

This was my favourite stage as a kid! Not only was the music awesome but it was the only one I could beat back then XD Ahhhh brings back so many memories
