I unfortunately don't have the time or money to get any of the SC-2's yet, but I've watched the "lets play" of both so far. I'll almost certainly buy the obviously planned battlechest of SC-II 1, 2 and 3 a few years after it comes out and the knock the price down from it's initially ridiculous level -- as usual. Big SC fan especially of the story, could care less about the multiplayer.

The characterization is well-developed and interesting. There's always a lot of subtext going on besides what is being said. And cool action and suspense.

Blizzard has always been delivering good VGM. They have some catchy tunes with the first two warcraft games, but they really hit their stride with Diablo and Starcraft.
Well did this live up to you're expectations? At the very least you should find the campaign more fun than the original's considering that's one of the main ways it shows its age since nearly every mission comes down to "blow up the enemy base."
I like Zerg and the zerg music, but i agree, if people would choose their race base on the music, i feel like 60% would be Terrans.
i feel soo bad but whats sooo amazing about firefly... ive never seen it and im curious... sounds like something i'd be into haha
Starcraft 2 has some of the best VGM.
Maybe he meant he was very disappointed because the game was so underwhelming and even felt like it was rushed, even though they worked 11 years on it. Not to mention all the corporate bullshit surrounding it (forced online, everything about the AH, etc)
Starcraft II is way fun - the story is silly, of course (it's Blizz) but the campaign is just great. Enjoy :)

Even if you are not going to play the multiplayer, at least give a few of the custom games a try Draky. Some of them are so great that they could actually be sold as separate games for 5-10€ on Steam =)
SC 2 is the most overhyped, disappointing, underwhelming game in existence next to D3.

Not surprising given that both this and Firefly go for the whole "Space Western" feel.
When i listen to this while I play Starcraft 2, it makes me think of Sim City 2000 for some odd reason.
Yeah that was about 2 days after the game released. D3 was a lot of fun until you hit lvl 60 and Inferno. I had problems with the Auction House as well, it killed any motivation I had to actually try to find the equipment by myself when I could just buy it instantly. It'll take a pretty big patch or expansion for me (and a lot of other people it seems) to come back to it.

Good atste. You'll like the campaign, but maybe the plot not so much. Imo it's not the best continuation but it's pretty decent.
This stuff reminds me so much of Firefly at times... I love it. Space country is the only country I can tolerate.
I bought this game and intend to play it soon. From what I've heard it should help wash out the bad taste Diablo 3 left in my mouth (very disappointed in that game). I don't intend to play multiplayer as I did with the first game though, I know I'll get addicted to it and my backlog is way too big right now. The terran always seem to have the best themes in this series. The first time I listened to this track, I actually stopped what I was doing when it got to 3:45, I love it. Space country.
