C'est clairement ma musique préférée de ce DKC2, devant Bramble Blast, devant la Gang Plank Galley et autres Swamp. Je ne connaissais pas l'auteur des musiques par contre, voilà qui est intéressant !
This song is mostly quiet which gives a great sense of atmosphere for the levels you hear It on, and then It comes to a climax just before the end. One of the best in the game and in the series.

DKC2 could definitely be my favorite game ever, and I have a very short list of favorites.
DKC2 music > all other video games. No exaggeration. The DKC2 soundtrack blows my mind. It's in serious need of a professional arrangement with some major orchestra out there, like we've seen with Mario and Final Fantasy. No joke.
Ecco the Dolphin and Okami are more then a match for the amazing DKC Trilogy soundtrack. None of them need a damn thing done to it. They're fine as is. Secret of Mana's music is fab too.

Huh, I was not aware of that! I looked up the game; seems interesting, especially the paper art style. His music should be interesting, as always; he can create so much atmosphere and mood with his pieces.
I know all of those apart from Kirkhope, but anyways you should listen to Shoji Meguro (SMT/Persona)he's awesome too!

we've got retro now =D a new prodigy gamemaker, hopefully they manage to use a little more humor, it's the one thing their games lack a lot of in comparison to rareware ^_^

This is seriously one of my favorite pieces of video game music EVER.
God this was my favorite song on the game. You know, oddly enough when I hear this song I imagine a hive of techno organic insect life forms and the inside of the hive is like a really futuristic city. Still, I love how you put my favorite song from the game here. Thanks!
DKC2 definitely had one of the best soundtracks in my opinion. DKC Returns' music had some remixes and throwbacks to the music from the first DKC, so if they ever make DKCR2, I hope it'll do the same for these songs.

I'm sure I've heard music from all of them but the three that really always stood out to me were David Wise, Koji Kondo, and Motoi Sakuraba. The DKC 2 soundtrack and the first Baten Kaitos soundtrack are two that I listen to quite often.
David Wise, Yoko Shimomura, Nobuo Uematsu, Grant Kirkhope, Koji Kondo, Motoi Sakuraba, Yasunori Mitsuda... These are the seven legends of video game music to me...

Interesting. That's a risky decision from Retro since unveiling a game during an E3 conference can build crazy hype. I guess they really weren't satisfied with it if they couldn't even show a trailer.
Retro actually pulled out at the last minute which was the reason we saw 'another' look at Nintendoland. Retro wants more time before they show anything. It makes sense because Reggie looked annoyed at the end of the conference.

Ah the Hive levels from DKC2. Much like Minecart levels from the first one, there were far too few of these levels.
There were 3. That's just as many as any other type of level.

This is one of my fav tracks from the game. It has that feeling that you're in a hurry and you're in place that you really are not supposed to be in. You're not welcome. I also love how the music picks up with the most intense part. Love it

Back from the canoe-camping trip, it was awesome. Except for the part where I got eaten alive by black flies and horse flies. Itching all over my body right now... but it was worth it. I wish Nintendo had shown what Retro is working on right now during E3. I thought DKCR was an amazing game, so I wouldn't say no to a DKCR2. I do admit it would be pretty exciting if they worked on a new IP though, or another key franchise from Nintendo.
