Easily the best score in SMG2. The first game had best music of the two overall though. Still an amazing game!

same for me, the biggest problem for me is that i hate vulcano's, deserts and mines in video games, i always plough through them to get to the good stuff ^_^ I really loved the forest dungeons and the sunken ship though =D
It's not really all that recycled. The dungeons are there embedded and they are really interesting. It's just that the overworld, instead of being a giant map was condensed and more compact within those three areas. It was a nice change-up but I think it should have been supported by a bigger and more heavily populated skyworld. I wanted the sky to be comparable to the Great Sea but it felt more like a small hub. Pity.
In time we will all praise it's awesome use of wii motion+ and great bad guy (girahim, is that right?!) The constant recycling of three levels is what made me wonder how the hell it took them this long to make the thing, it's not like there is an overworld or a bunch of sidequests!
This game is everything the 1st one hoped for.
These games are amazing. I prefer the original (especially soundtrack wise), but either way you are getting a fantastic game.
Are you sure this is Kondo, @SupraDarky? My track listing says this was composed by Mahito Yokota, and it certainly fits his style more than Kondo's.
Super Smash Bros Melee is 10 years old. Xenoblade is 2 years old. The 3DS is 1 year old.

I favor the first one, actually. The mario-head ship was just too small for me - I adored the observatory.

This game has one of the best soundtracks in gaming history imo. Just lacks the wow-factor the first one had.

it's been two years and words still fail me to describe how awesome this game truly is. It's simply perfect and has taken the spot as my all time favourite.
The thing about one is that we have more memeories from it,and 2 was trying to make you think you are playing something new.It managed that,so I say 2 is better as well.
most people say that modern games suck compared to the old ones but this would be an exception to new games am i right?
Yeah! Nice homage Supra!! It's a game that's just filled with sheer creativity from beginning to end. Sometimes I didn't even believe what I was playing. And the music played a huge part on that too!

i thought galaxy 1 was better than two for many reasons for one i had read too much about galaxy2 (because I didn't think id ever get either) and so the magic was gone bit even now I still don't like galaxy 2 more than 1 there seems to be more reason for me to like galaxy 1 more wanting to play it! they both have big flaws but I don't want to name them all just now anyway I liked this levels music it was nice the most notable thing about this level that i really liked was the topiary dinosaur!

Allot of people enjoy Super Mario Galaxy better because, well it was more original. Out though Super Mario Galaxy 2 was all around a updated sequel it didn't receive as much hype as the first game or will it be considered as classic as the first game. But like many people i DO prefer Super Mario Galaxy 2 than the first.
I was playing GC classics such as Wind Waker for the first time, at your age! Ahh, the good old days. Anyway, I can agree with what you're saying, in some ways. Certain games from my childhood don't seem nearly as enjoyable any more, and not because they're inadequate games. Being a naive kid is a great advantage in our enjoyment of life! That being said, most Nintendo games (Galaxy 1+2 being prime examples) make me feel like a kid again. Very few things have that effect!
I liked 2 more than 1, but both Super Mario Galaxy games are must plays. I can understand why some people liked 1 more than 2 I just wasn't one of them.
Well, it might have something to do with the fact that I was 7 when I got Galaxy 1. I was still a young tyke who saw the world as colorful. Flash forward a couple years, and I was a much more knowledgeable 11 year old. I was expecting Galaxy 2 to replicate my wonderful and already nostalgic memories of Galaxy 1, and I just didn't get that feeling.
This game's soundtrack never ceases to give me goosebumps.
If you think that's been longer than you think it has been, Super Smash Bros. Melee turned 10 years old last December.

Personally I can't help but see each Galaxy game as one half of a whole experience. They're too similar to make distinct judgements about them, separately. In any case, it's safe to say that they're two of the greatest games ever made. Like most people, I consider them near-flawless.

It was pretty much the same game with different locations. Also, the "lobby area" wasn't as good.

Ah, Super Mario Galaxy 2. I didn't like 2 as much as 1 - not by a long long shot. 2 just felt boring... I guess it's because 1 was my favorite Mario game ever. Than again, the only reason why I didn't like 2 as much as 1 is because I expected too much out of 2... I'll have to replay 2 some day...
