José Antonio I agree. I don't know what was more aggravating the 100 kinstones that had to be fused or the number of mystery shells that had to be obtained. But I still love the adventure. However it will never compare to the other Zelda games such as link to the past and link's awakening.

When i saw CAPCOM at the title screen, i was a bit confused. I think this game lacked some of the Zelda series spirit, but they still constructed a fun experience. Link's yell sound effect could get annoying.
+ragnaroktomorro Capcom also helped make Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. They're a part of the 2D Zelda history :).

I still own the cartridge and to be honest this is the only pure fantasy game that capcom ever made from Oracles of ages and season. This game is like a dream of pure bliss.

Mmmmmaybe. The season-changing mechanic is more fun and interesting than time-hopping, generally, but I just adore Oracle of Ages. It was my first Zelda game, though. I am rather biased :P

See, here, this is an actually creative Zelda 2D game. Ever since the very first every 2D Zelda has felt the same to me. This one I can actually differentiate from the others in my mind. It felt like a breath of fresh air. (Not saying the 2D Zeldas were bad. Just saying they were samey)

I think almost all of the portable Zelda games are underrated, with Minish Cap being one of the best. I liked Spirit Tracks quite a bit,and I even enjoyed Phantom Hourglass for what its worth.

I liked the first game and how it moved all of the dungeons as well as making monsters harder to kill. I don't know if that's possible anymore due to the changes made in gaming...

Minish Cap was awesome, easily one of the Top 10 best Zeldas. I enjoyed Spirit Tracks myself but I think I know why. A.) I'm a sucker for character development, particulary relationships of the romantic or hinted romance type which was over half of Spirit Tracks. They get me every time. B.) Anything was better than the abomination known as the Temple Of The Ocean King. I didn't hate Phantom Hourglass, but my hate for that one Temple knows no bounds. So Spirit Tracks by comparison was a paradise.

I thought Phantom Hourglass was terrible, but Spirit Tracks was great fun. Just wish they had implemented the train/boat customization better. As it is, you can only get a handful of parts through just playing the game. It's not very fun. Doesn't help that DS graphics are icky in general.

Haha, beat a 3-heart run of this game a short while ago, so hearing the music again is good memories.
Yeah, but the thing is.. Hard mode would most certainly only mean more/stronger monsters while you deal less and/or take more damage. That really isn't "upping the difficulty". It's just making it more tedious. Having a zelda game actually be more difficult would mean making areas that were actually challenging, monsters that would be tough to deal with and intense boss fights. So just having a difficulty selection probably wouldn't make it a whole lot better.
I do agree. I absolutely love the Oracle series, and their synergy. Minish Cap was an excellent game, the style, gameplay and soundtrack was brilliant. But as you say it was a bit too easy overall, I never really felt tremendously challenged.
I don't hear people talking about MC enough. It's definitely in my top 5 zeldas.

The games have been getting a little too easy. It would be nice if a hard mode was offered, while keeping the original difficulty as well. That way, those of us seeking more of a challenge can get it while more casual players can still beat it.
When I played this game for the first time I fell in love with this song. I kept going back to the places where this song played, just for the joy of listen it. That is why I always wondered why wasn´t in the list. Now that it is, the world is a better place.

I feel like the developers have been making the games more simple because they want to garner a newer audience of kids who grow up with Link just like how we did.....although that doesn't make any sense considering how when we first played it it was much harder.
I played Phantom Hourglass, its a flop man. Too repetitive, you have to go the same temple like 4 times in the game. Using the touch pad for the teleport spell was bad, you fail it like 4 times every time before warping.
Fond memories of Minish Cap. Just wish there was more to do. Especially end game. And you didn't like Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks SD?
It's now been 8 years since I last loved an original portable Zelda game. It's a shame really, especially since Link's Awakening is my favorite in the series with OoT. Minish Cap was very good, I was surprised with how nicely Capcom handled this series (MC and both Oracle games). It was too easy though, but that's a problem that's been following this series for quite a while.
