Parts of this remind me of Timesplitters 2's Chicago, also on this list. However the songs differ a lot as well.
yeah, the first hitman had some, bad stealth missions. There was a mission where you had to infiltrate a base full of soldiers and a general that was a parody on scarface. It was impossible to do without going berserk xP
You can play these games and just kill everyone, but I find playing for the silent assassin ranking to be much more rewarding. The games are pretty fun though because they give you lots of ways to complete each mission. I would reccomend just starting with blood money if you get some spare time, as the story is convoluted anyway!
I read that this series was aimed at being stealth based, but in the early games, someone on gamefaqs described to be "easier to charge in shooting like Rambo on steroids," but that the later games made you use more stealth.

Yeah, this is one of the best songs in the game. The whole soundtrack is awesome.
You get used to this kind of gameplay pretty fast. I sucked horribly the first time I got my hands on Metal Gear Solid, but I got better really fast.

I love the series. Suck too but it's one of those games that is good to the point where you can lose and still be impressed. The knew one looks wonderful.

The games where always action packed. It matters how you play it. I beat Hitman Blood money twice once by sneaking around stealing outfits and chocking bitches. The I went back upgraded the shit out of my double ballers and went on a killing spree in every mission. Either way I had fun. Splinter cell conviction wasn't bad. Just easier. I enjoyed hit man and I want to see how they make the new one. From what I see from the newest trailer it still retains choice.
Too bad the new Hitman sequel will do a "Splinter Cell: Conviction" and will be horribly dumbed down and action packed to cater to the COOWADOODY HOW PLAY GAEM? generation, games these days don't have the balls to be their own genré or brand of flavor. It's the same reason I can't buy Hitman: Contracts on steam, because it tread to closely to a grim reality of the world the game takes place in. (The Meatkings party, etc.) I won't be looking forward to having the mission force fed to me.
This theme reminds me a little of Perfect Dark.
Not really a stealth game. It is a do it your way game. You can literally kill everyone if you wanted to. One of the things that makes Hitman so cool is that you can beat a mission differently every time. It is all up to you. If you really want to try it then buy blood money it is the best in the series.

get the old ones. the new one looks good, but they're changing alot of what made them great. im still getting it, though. Contracts/blood money are the best.
You should definitely try it, Blood Money especially. I'm lousy at stealth games, but even I can do pretty alright. There are so many ways to approach your objectives and it feels so cool to blend into the crowd and wait for the moment to strike. You never feel like you're forced to do things only a certain way and the game always rewards you for coming up with a clever solution.

Each hitman game always felt different. Hitman 1 had a special story and very hard missions, Hitman 2 was amazing in my opinion, hitman contracts was a remake of hitman 1, and it felt very dark and depressing. Hitman BM gave me the hitman 2 feeling again, BM had great stealth missions and it felt very good when you completed a level.Ive heard that Hitman 5 is kinda a mess, tough il buy it and hope i can run it on this PC :D
This game is amazing you should try it, it requires a lot of thinking plus it has amazing songs. :)

I've never heard this song before, but I favourited it after 3 minutes. I love the ambient sound this has, even though it doesn't really seem to fit Las Vegas. More like Cairo or something.

I have Hitman Contracts for PC, and I've never touched it. Maybe I'll give it a go sometime....
Here's a series I've never tried. It has its share of fans and the newest game coming out this year is much anticipated. Jesper Kyd is a great composer and this track stood out to me very quickly. I tend to be pretty bad at stealth sections in video games so I'm not sure I'd be very good at this game. ;P
