amazing how clear this sounds! reminds me of the tune i heard at the computer games museum. they say the first computers could only produce 4 notes, but by utilizing resonance effects they were able to create 7 distinct notes, which was just enough for actual music.
This sounds pretty advanced coming from a NES
This still sounds great playing it at 1.25x and 1.5x playback speed

Sunsoft had the best NES tracks ever. This game was a hidden gem, and I actually think all the stages had great music. Nice upload.

+Johnny Casey Funny thing is that it was actually designed to be a Terminator game from the beginning. The only reason it wasn't was because licensing fell through.
+Moop Bread Yeah I know that. Intro part we have same texting animation like terminator, and nuclear bomb explosion. Main character Jay looks like Kyle Reese, and overall designs makes me feel like playing terminator game.

In case nobody knew or already said, this game was originally supposed to be Terminator but somehow Sunsoft lost the rights, but still had the finished game. So they simply changed the story, sprites and the intro music. Now that I've seen the Terminator Nes game I can honestly say that all of us Terminator fans got screwed over. This is an awesome game with an awesome soundtrack. Terminator they failed you!!
@SlothfulCynic Yeah, Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 had very memorable soundtracks. I actually taped some of the music on a cassette when I was little so I could listen to it anywhere, lol. This old VG music was all about the melody. Now it's all about sounding orchestral or hip hop shit.
@RyuHayabusa06 yeah, the music of the sunsoft games had many interweaving parts. Fester's quest is a particular game that demonstrates this.
I love how melodic this old stuff is. It seems the music of these new games are lacking in this department.

This is perhaps the pinnacle of 8-bit music manipulation. OCremix did some great justice to that theme as well.

For 8-bit, this song sure encapsulates the 80's pretty damn well. Might be why it's called 8-bit. More like 80-bit, amirite? Ok, sorry, that was terrible...

I bought this game at a used game store near where I live :D as soon as I get my new system in the mail I'll be playing it and my other games probably all day XD

Just been thinking about that. But what confuses me is why Silius? The Japanese version is known is Raf World, so why kind of translation error could there have been? If Sirius was chosen by the localization team, then maybe it was major typo, lol.
